Now that Derek Chauvin has been offered up as a sacrifice, found guilty even on the counts that didn’t pass the laugh test, Black Lives Matter is satisfied, right? Guess again.

Not even the “epic” accomplishment of burning down the local police station satisfied the mostly peaceful protesters:

Bullies will never be satisfied so long as you give in to them. Surrender your lunch money and they will demand your shoes. Surrender your shoes and they will demand something else.

Patrisse Khan-Cullors, 37, also eyed property in the Bahamas at an ultra-exclusive resort where Justin Timberlake and Tiger Woods both have homes, The Post has learned. Luxury apartments and townhouses at the beachfront Albany resort outside Nassau are priced between $5 million and $20 million, according to a local agent. …

“People who buy at the Albany are buying their fourth or fifth home,” said a resort worker who did not want to be identified. “This is not a second-home residence. It’s extremely high-end, and people are coming here for complete and total privacy.”

All that money woke corporations ostentatiously shovel at Black Lives Matter had to go somewhere. It certainly isn’t going to improve the lives of black people — with the exception of the ones running the scam.

It used to be that you got rich in this country by making things. Now, you get rich by breaking things.

In addition to the generous cut she presumably receives from BLM donations, Cullors has capitalized on her divisive moonbattery with the book When They Call You a Terrorist. Also,

In October, the activist signed “a multi-platform” deal with Warner Bros. Television Group to help produce content for “black voices who have been historically marginalized,” she said in a statement.

Poor marginalized Patrisse. The heart bleeds.

It’s also not clear how much Khan-Cullors makes in salary as one of the leaders of the movement, since its finances are split among both non-profit and for-profit entities and difficult to trace.

If she is smart enough to muddy the finances, no doubt she takes care not to buy properties in the sort of neighborhoods her followers burn down.

Seattle has been hit hard, with sociopaths pouring in from out of town to indulge in the mayhem fostered by its leftist leadership. A six-block area of downtown Seattle was occupied by hooligans for weeks, resulting in multiple shootings.

King County Metro unveiled new artwork Thursday that will be displayed on buses and Metro facilities around the county.

The artwork, created by three Metro employees, features images from the Black Lives Matter movement.

It’s nice to know that at least we will still have art, even after composers have been canceled and music abolished in the name of wokeness.

About 100 protesters attended the “F*** 12” march in Midtown Manhattan.

“F*** 12” is moonbat shorthand for “F*** the police.”

Demonstrators with Black Lives Matter, which was nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize three weeks ago, burned an American flag and a pro-law enforcement thin blue line flag near the NYPD kiosk in Times Square in a supposed protest against police brutality.

If BLM doesn’t get a Nobel Peace Prize, Barack Obama should have to give his back. After all, he was awarded it before he had yet sown seeds of havoc with his divisive politics.

During the F12 march at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and 54th Street, someone motioned toward a man and yelled, “He’s a cop!” About a dozen protesters surrounded the man, who is actually a New York Daily News photographer. The New York Post reported that the crowd began “shoving him and beating him with their fists and other objects.” The victim, identified as Sam Costanza, suffered a broken nose, according to the New York Daily News.

The Daily Snooze is a left-wing publication; its propagandists helped create this situation. Nonetheless, it is appalling to see journalists attacked. Still more appalling is that two police officers were injured and two police vehicles damaged.

Note that Black Lives Matter sociopaths are the good guys, according to the liberal establishment. New York’s municipal government ostentatiously sides with them against the police. Corporations shower them with massive amounts of money. The Democrat Party included a video ode to them at last year’s convention. The vice president has raised funds to bail them out of jail so that they can continue to take part in riots, which she avers should not stop.

Also on Friday, social justice warriors harassed police and vandalized storefronts in Portland. If you encourage bad behavior, you get more of it.

Militants have taken to wearing Black Lives Matter masks to their jobs, so as to intimidate customers and coworkers. Given that BLM pushes a violent ideology based in racism, Marxism, and hatred of America and is responsible for hundreds of riots and $2 billion in property damage over the past year, business managers are not thrilled.

Whole Foods is owned by belligerently left-wing Amazon, which gave $10 million to the Afrocentric cause in response to BLM violence and crushed Parler for offering an alternative to leftist social media platforms. Yet Whole Foods pushed back and succeeded in moonbattery-addled Cambridge, Massachusetts:

A federal judge dismissed most counts of a lawsuit filed against Whole Foods by employees claiming they were being racially discriminated against and that their right to free speech was being violated because of a policy against wearing Black Lives Matter face masks at work.

Whole Foods has a dress code that bans “visible slogans, messages, logos or advertising,” but rules don’t usually apply to BLM activists, who have been allowed to ignore laws against rioting, looting, vandalism, and arson for almost a year now.

The Girl and the Fig, a restaurant in Sonoma, California, doesn’t want employees alienating and/or frightening the customers with Black Lives Matter masks either. Unlike Whole Foods, it is not big enough to stand up to the bullies without sustaining serious damage.

Former server Kim Stout, who has since quit rather than follow the rules, demanded that the restaurant either post a Black Lives Matter sign or let her wear a BLM mask. When it didn’t comply with her command, she ran to local media. Screechs Stout:

“As a Brown queer fem person, standing up for the marginalized has always been important to me. I know how it feels to walk around in downtown Sonoma when you have darker skin than others and getting those sideway stares.”

The restaurant tried to be obliging, even posting on Facebook,

“We do and have always believed in Black Lives Matters and we know it is a human right issue.”

The human rights mob has responded by bombarding the restaurant with “negative and hateful reviews” on Yelp and even death threats, forcing it to close.

A Black Lives Matter rally is now scheduled Sunday in front of the restaurant. It wasn’t clear when the business would re-open.

They can count themselves lucky if they don’t get firebombed.

At least there is no question who the bad guys are, even if the media sides with them.

The demonstrators stopped near a row of restaurants, where protest leaders delivered lectures about “race, Black and Indigenous lives” to nearby diners.

What about the big show of force intended to make sure we all know that no more lunatics in buffalo costumes will be allowed to break into the Capitol?

“There are currently about 7,000 National Guard members in the city providing security,” ABC News reported. “That number is expected to slowly go down to 5,000, and they are set to stay until about mid-March. The total cost for the deployment is expected to be close to $500 million.”

However, military occupation does not apply to mostly peaceful leftist protesters. At least, not until things really start to get out of hand.

As for the mayhem Black Lives Matter inflicted throughout the country for months on end, destroying whole neighborhoods and crippling whole cities, Eide easily brushes it off with a lie so preposterous, critics are likely to be too stunned by its audacity to respond.

“Of course there have been incidents, but most of them have been caused by the activities of either the police or counter-protestors.”

Never mind the video footage we watched all last year. It was the police and their supporters who looted stores from one end of the country to the other and set fire to police stations. The year 2020 likely saw the largest percentage increase in homicides in American history. Murder was up nearly 37% in a sample of 57 large and medium-size cities. Based on preliminary estimates, at least 2,000 more Americans, most of them black, were killed in 2020 than in 2019.

The explosion of violent crime was precipitated by the War on Police — i.e., the eagerness of the liberal establishment to side with criminals against law and order in its embrace of Black Lives Matter.

The local murder increases in 2020 were startling: 95% in Milwaukee, 78% in Louisville, Ky., 74% in Seattle, 72% in Minneapolis, 62% in New Orleans, and 58% in Atlanta, according to data compiled by crime analyst Jeff Asher.

Liberals champion the BLM anti-police agenda to demonstrate that they revere blacks, which they have been told is the primary distinguishing characteristic of good people. Yet the dozens of children who have been killed in this bloodbath are overwhelmingly black.

Fifty-five children were killed in Chicago in 2020, 17 in St. Louis, and 11 in Philadelphia. In South Los Angeles alone, 40 children were shot, some non-lethally, through September.

The liberal establishment that caused this tries to blame it on COVID-19.

But crime fell during the first months of the pandemic shutdowns, both in the U.S. and globally. Only at the end of May did that trend reverse itself…

On May 25, George Floyd died, apparently of a fentanyl overdose, while in police custody. This was seized upon as a pretext for widespread violence that was aggressively supported by the liberal establishment, with the media barking Black Lives Matter talking points, ball players kneeling in obeisance to rioters, corporations donating $millions to BLM and related organizations, Kamala Harris egging on rioters and raising funds to bail them out of jail, and local Democrat politicians giving the rioters free reign to inflict mayhem at the expense of law-abiding citizens.

According to the establishment narrative, cops are now the bad guys.

Officers believe they face a political and legal environment that is eager to sacrifice them in the name of racial justice.

As might be expected, they are now keeping their heads down instead of doing their jobs.

An Oakland, Calif., officer who has arrested dozens of known murderers and gang members over his career tells me he is scared for the first time, “not because the criminals are necessarily more violent, even though they are.” But if he has to use force on a resisting suspect, he could lose his career, his life, or his liberty, he says. A “simple cost-benefit analysis” recommends simply responding to calls for service and collecting a paycheck. “All cops now understand this.”

Criminals understand it too. The result is increasingly brazen lawlessness.

Forget about the proactive police work that prevents crime from happening in the first place. According to liberal ideology, it is racist.

Across the country, specialized police units that got guns off the street were disbanded, since they were said to have a disparate impact on African-Americans. Police chiefs and prosecutors have refused to enforce low-level quality-of-life laws for the same reason.

The broken windows approach that allowed Rudy Giuliani and William Bratton to clean up New York City in the 1990s would be unthinkable now.

The consequence: More gang members are carrying guns, since their chances of being stopped are slim. They are enthusiastically killing each other and innocent bystanders out of opportunism, not economic deprivation or existential angst.

Democrats will respond to this by confiscating firearms from law-abiding citizens, so that we have no chance to defend ourselves.

2020 is finally over. If only we could say the same for the chaos liberalism has unleashed. 2021 has been more of the same:

Shootings in South Los Angeles rose 742% in the first two weeks of the year. In Oakland, homicides were up 500% and shootings up 126% through Jan. 17. In New York, murders were up 42% and shooting victims up 15% through Jan. 17.

According to the media, everything will get better, now that Biden’s handlers control the White House. In reality, everything will get worse:

During the campaign, [Biden] claimed without justification that African-Americans rightly feared that their loved ones could be killed by a cop every time they stepped outside. His criminal-justice blueprint promises to eliminate racial disparities in law enforcement. Given vast racial disparities in the commission of crimes, that can be done only by eliminating law enforcement itself.

The federal government will now impose the same demented leftist policies that have been making our largest cities uninhabitable.

[T]he Biden Justice Department will treat disparate stop or arrest rates as evidence of police bias and seek to put as many police departments as possible under costly consent decrees. It will even try to extend its oversight authority to local prosecutors’ offices, should district attorneys generate racially disparate charging data (an inevitability, in light of the reality of crime).

Attempting to shoehorn reality into a delusional ideology inevitably causes a great deal of pain.

High-profile homicide trials of police officers will take place this year in Minneapolis, Atlanta, Louisville and Rochester, N.Y. If there are acquittals, more riots—followed by an even greater shooting surge—seem likely.

Alternatively, officers innocent of the crimes they are accused of may be sent to prison as sacrificial offerings to the Black Lives Matter mob. This will have an even worse effect, emboldening the mob and demoralizing the police still further.

Civilization is more delicate than people realize. If we do not cure ourselves of liberalism soon, it will collapse.

L.A. City Council agreed to slash the [LAPD]’s budget by $150 million. L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti first announced the idea after BLM-LA led a massive demonstration outside of his residence on June 2.

Intimidation works in the sort of country this is becoming. At least it does on people who are sympathetic to the intimidators.

The L.A. Board of Education quickly followed suit, reducing the L.A. School Police Department’s budget by 35%, which equated to a $25 million cut. BLM-LA had spent more than five years organizing students, parents, and teachers against the district’s police force, which is tasked with protecting more than 600,000 students enrolled in the nation’s second-largest public education system.

BLM also went after the LA County Sheriff’s Department, with the ballot proposal Measure J:

Its passage requires at least 10% of the county’s general fund be appropriated to community programs and alternatives to incarceration, but Sheriff Alex Villanueva and police unions said it would defund public safety. LASD operates the nation’s largest jail system.

Leftists have already managed to largely empty neighboring Orange County Sheriff’s Department jails onto the streets.

Despite Garcetti’s willingness to cave to outrageous demands by BLM terrorists, BLM-LA’s lead community organizer Melina Abdullah claims that her organization blocked him from a Biden cabinet position. If so, this may be the first good thing ever to come of Black Lives Matter.

She also noted a series of Black LA Demands related to the COVID-19 pandemic as another important achievement from 2020, along with the formation of BLM Grassroots, which was established to aid local chapters’ organizational needs.

Alarmingly, BLM racists aren’t the only ones to racialize the coronavirus response.

Lastly, Abdullah recognized BLM-LA’s annual Black Xmas campaign, which asks allies to refrain from spending money with white corporations from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day.

Christmas is the season for hating white people. Racial animosity hasn’t been this explicit since they closed down Auschwitz. Yet it is those brave enough to oppose Black Lives Matter who get whacked with the “RACIST!” club.

Enrique Tarrio told the Gateway Pundit that he was slashed in the stomach, while “multiple other members” were injured, including a man stabbed in the neck and a woman with them stabbed in the back.

Enrique Tarrio is chairman of Proud Boys International and Florida state director of Latinos for Trump. The Proud Boys are the anti–Black Lives Matter: race-neutral instead of racist and pro-American instead of anti-American.

The group said they were heading home after watching the election at a DC bar when they were jumped and knifed just blocks from the White House.

As noted earlier, Black Lives Matter/Antifa established a substantial presence in this area on Tuesday for the purpose of election intimidation.

After the attackers fled, Bevelyn Beatty — a black woman who previously dumped paint over the Black Lives Matter mural outside Trump Tower — was seen holding her lower back, saying, “They stabbed me.”

No good deed goes unpunished with Black Lives Matter in control of the streets.

“She’s bleeding really badly!” gasped the videographer, Jen Loh, a former vice president of Latinos For Trump. …

Loh told Storyful that the attackers appeared to target Beatty. “If it wasn’t for the three or four Proud Boys that were there, she would have been stabbed and really brutally beaten had they not saved her from the attack,” Loh told the agency.

If liberal establishment journalists are compelled to acknowledge this event, it will no doubt be twisted into confirmation that the Proud Boys really are racist, just like Joe Biden says.

The injuries were serious but not life-threatening. Competence does not come naturally to BLM/Antifa types. But given practice, their assassin skills will improve.

DC police spokesman Lt. Ralph Neal initially told local media that the suspects were members of Black Lives Matter…

After BLM unsurprisingly denied this, the DCPD backtracked and said it could not confirm the assailants were affiliated with BLM, as if there were a registry of official members somewhere, and their names may or may not be on it. Given that DC’s anti-American mayor Muriel Bowser painted a two-blocks-long BLACK LIVES MATTER mural on 16th Street leading to the White House, it can be assumed that political pressure played a role.
