Pentagon’s War on Christianity Escalates to Blocking Websites

Under moonbat rule, the purpose of the US Armed Forces is not to defend America’s interests, but to advance liberal social engineering objectives. Consequently the Pentagon is ramping up its repression of Christianity:

The U.S. Military has blocked access to the Southern Baptist Convention’s website on an unknown number of military bases because it contains “hostile content” — just weeks after an Army briefing labeled Evangelical Christians and Roman Catholics as examples of religious extremism, Fox News has learned.

The Southern Baptist Convention is the nation’s largest Protestant denomination known for its support of the pro-life movement and its strong belief in traditional marriage.

Southern Baptist chaplains reported that had been blocked at military installations around the nation. An Air Force officer told Fox News that when he tried to log on to the website he received a message that his Internet usage was being logged and monitored for trying to access a blocked site.

Just like in communist China.

No doubt this is only an isolated incident — like these:

• A War Games scenario at Fort Leavenworth that identified Christian groups and Evangelical groups as being potential threats;

• A 2009 Dept. of Homeland Security memorandum that identified future threats to national security coming from Evangelicals and pro-life groups;

• A West Point study released by the U.S. Military Academy’s Combating Terrorism Center that linked pro-lifers to terrorism;

• Evangelical leader Franklin Graham was uninvited from the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer service because of his comments about Islam;

• Christian prayers were banned at the funeral services for veterans at Houston’s National Cemetery;

• Bibles were banned at Walter Reed Army Medical Center — a decision that was later rescinded;

• Christian crosses and a steeple were removed from a chapel in Afghanistan because the military said the icons disrespected other religions;

• Catholic chaplains were told not to read a letter to parishioners from their archbishop related to Obamacare mandates. The Secretary of the Army feared the letter could be viewed as a call for civil disobedience.

Last week, soldiers at Fort Wainwright in Alaska were told to scrape off a Bible verse reference on their weapon scopes. That verse had been inscribed by the maker of the scopes.

The Founding Fathers thought enough of the free exercise of religion to place it in the first clause of the First Amendment to the Constitution that military personnel lay their lives on the line to defend.

At least the perfumed princes overseeing the Armed Forces on behalf of Obama et al. are sure to let soldiers access Muslim websites so they can learn why infidels ought to be killed. What would Nidal Malik Hasan have said if he had not been able to access the latest fiery denunciations of America?

Our government is controlled by our enemies.

    In the Army back in 1957 we were told we had to have a religion on our dogtags. Now it’s the opposite and this is what happens when we follow the laws of men.

    The left-wing conditioning of our troops and the recruitment of secularists is only a sign of things to come for this country. A new war is in the making and it is going to be brutal. We need to realize our own government sees anyone who will not be willing relinquish their rights and give up our faith in God as the enemy.

    Why the war on Christianity? Marxism can not prosper while religion exists.

    Are Americans surprised now with the leftist ideology wants to ban religion? USSR jailed a man for 13 years because he had bible studies in his house and allowed his son to participate and even allowed his son to pray. The grounds they used was that he had no permit for home studies and his son was being abused by being forced to pray for 13 minutes at a time. (The son confided to me that when his father was jailed for home bible study the family would pray for hours at a time for his father’s release.) When put on the witness stand the boy confessed to only praying for about 10 or 13 minutes at a time since he thought that would make it sound more reasonable. Apparently even a few minutes is way to much time to spend praying for the return of your father so the son inadvertantly still helped the state build a stronger case against his father who ultimately was released and rearrested several times on religious grounds until the family finally was allowed to leave the country and come to USA to settle in Sacramento California.
    Just goes to show you how fanatical the state will become in it’s desire to crush all dissent. Especially religious dissent. I predict we will see an escalation in this sort of religious oppression in the near future. This sort of thing is still in the early stages. As the economy grows weaker and weaker our government will apply stronger and stronger controls over all facets of our lives in an effort to maintain power and control. Religion has always been a threat to state power under totalitarian regimes. We are now phasing from a soft tyranny to a hard tyranny. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride folks.

    I am understanding more and more why many people will be in dread on the day Jesus does return. The next time, He will not be meek and mild, He will be a warrior.

    I wish that even today, those who would come to God would do so and that He pulls the plug on this insanity a moment later. The stupid and the evil is just beyond comprehension sometimes.

    Further down in the article it says the military isn’t blocking the site on purpose and they’re trying to ‘unblock’ it. Okay – if the military didn’t do it “on purpose”, who the hell did?

  11. Son of Taz says:

    UPDATE: The Army has unblocked the site which was blocked automatically when it was found that was distributing malware. The Army’s internet gateway system blocked the site which is exactly what it should do.

    The malware has been removed and the site is once again accessible.
