Pope Francis Denounces Democratization of Middle East and Africa

There was a time when popes sided with the good guys. But progressives have inflicted a lot of “progress” since then:

Pope Francis has criticized Western powers for attempting to export democracy to countries in the Middle East and Africa without paying attention to local political cultures.

Once again, multiculturalism is used by a leftist to excuse the inexcusable.

The pontiff has often discussed Western policies, or “cultural colonialism” as he put it, criticizing these policies for attempting to impose Western values in exchange for financial aid.

Free money isn’t free if there are strings attached, such as the encouragement of basic human rights. When utopia is achieved, Western governments will confiscate the wealth of their subjects and bestow it upon Third World tyrants without conditions.

As for cultural colonialism, Francis is fine with it when it is the Christian West getting colonized — as he confirmed by going on to praise the election of an Islamic radical as Mayor of London.

In a rare moment of honesty, Francis admitted,

“The idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam, it is true.”

But he immediately lapsed back into preposterous relativism, the safe space that insulates moonbats from the concept of moral values:

“But at the end of the Gospel of Matthew, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations [to spread the word of God] could be interpreted with the same idea of conquest.”

Christianity is under assault around the world. Don’t hold your breath waiting for Francis to defend it.

Frank uses way too many Leftist talking points, and is an ignorant politician, but much of what he said is true.

Our attempt to civilize and democratize Iraq failed. It failed because Iraq is a barbaric tribal culture. Same thing with Afghanistan. They are perfectly happy, living in the Seventh Century with cellphones. I think we had to try, but our attempt at nation building is a failure. We can go back to Nation Destroying.

In Libya, we deposed a nasty strongman, and allowed a worse array of cutthroats, terrorists, and islimeists to take over. We made the situation worse.

One way of interpreting Frank’s words is “Let the barbarians bugger their sheep in their medieval shitholes.” They can’t handle Western Democracy. Only civilized peoples can.

What I came here to say. Recently, people were living pretty well in Libya, relative to the rest of Africa. The sight of Saddam Hussein dangling from a rope had a wonderful impact on Gaddafi. Relatively high standard of living. Decent hospitals, women being educated. Not ideal, but way better than turning the damn thing over to the Muslim Brotherhood. A (relatively) benevolent dictatorship is the best that can be hoped for right now in some countries.

The Pope is making it difficult for Catholics to continue to find excuses for him, and making Protestants thank their ancestors for showing some independence.

I don’t recall reading about the apostles going out and sawing off heads in Jesus’ name…must have missed that bit.

I’m getting really sick of the world being run by satanic dick-wads.

  7. dad29 says:

John Paul II opposed the war in Iraq because he knew that Iraqi society/civilization could not handle “democracy.”

    Guess what? He was right!!

This pope is a mental case.

Well Jorge is proof that you can take the Jesuit out of Marxist South America but you can’t take the Marxist out of the South American Pope.

    He doesn’t understand.
His ideas of Capitalism, are not based on our model.
His ideas were formed by the exploitive, elite corporations in his own country of Argentina.

“But at the end of the Gospel of Matthew, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations [to spread the word of God] could be interpreted with the same idea of conquest.”

Yes, the words of Jesus COULD be interpreted that way, IF you were smoking Crack while receiving an LSD enema and having your genitals electrocuted and being subjected to massive doses of radiation, buried in live rats then set on fire. I suppose it could sound like Jesus said go out to every nation, there were like 12 of them in those days, and conquer them by force of arms, subjugate them and murder any who refuse to submit by the most heinous means you can conceive.

Those interpretations are there once you strip away all the love they neighbor stuff. You just have to read between the lines.

Good thing I’m not Catholic, I’d have to beat this dirtbag’s ass, just spreading the word, you know. I’m curious, how much longer are actual Catholics going to put up with this Marxist piece of shit pretending to be the Pope?

  12. 762x51 says:

Read it again, Donna. He wasn’t dissing capitalism, though he loves to do that as well. He was saying that Jesus said to go out and make war against everyone in order to subjugate them to his will. I’m no religious scholar but I’m pretty sure Jesus never said any thing of the kind in any way, shape or form. That means this “Pope” is either a liar or anti-Christianity, or both. Any of those would be bad.

I’m not Catholic so he doesn’t represent me, I know you are Catholic, are you sure this the kind of leadership God intended for the church? I wouldn’t follow such a evil man.

  13. 762x51 says:

Freedom is far to advanced and modern a concept for savages mired in the 7th century, that’s the Iron Age, in historical terms. Let them have what ever form of government that keeps them corralled so that they leave the rest of the civilized world alone. Our only other choice is to obliterate them all.

  14. Donna M says:

He is not an evil man…
I read his summaries on faith, mercy and justice when he was an Archbishop in Argentina…
He grew up in a country that experienced a Church under persecution and duress, as well as, massive turmoil, wave after wave of political and economic upheaval, violence, corruption, destitution and murder…
I have chosen to withhold passing judgement on him…
Because I am more aware of what is going on in Rome and the Church globally, as it relates to its influence, on the world stage, more than most people…
I have spoken many times before, of predicted, coming events…that have and are now, continuing to come true.
Due to lack of charity and unrepentant evil…
The global acceptance of abortion and euthanasia…
The Rise of the Age of Martyrs is here…
The invasion of Europe has happened…
The rise again, of Communistic Russia…
The infiltration of abominable evil in every facet of human life…
This Pope knows that his tenure will be short and he will be killed, administering to his Church.
Some of us, have chosen to follow him to the same end.
    Semper Fidelis, li’l brother!

  15. Donna M says:

He was referring more to the corruption of the immoral west.
How it imposes itself on poverty countries to accept moral decay and corruption or face the withholding of aid and assistance.

  16. Donna M says:

Just sayin’ there is a prophesy…
That the BVM will convert, the nation of Islam to Christianity.
That is one I most heartily believe!!!
Many of the Muslims that were murdered by DAISH (ISIS),
    Were found guilty of apostasy…
    ‘Cause they were Christian converts…

How many popes were assassinated by members of the catholic faith? This one is sizing up to be the next. What a traitor to the catholic religion.

  22. 762x51 says:

Well, he certainly talks like an evil man and acts like an evil man, Where I’m from, that makes him an evil man.

Like I said,I’m not Catholic so it makes little difference to me personally other than the cultural perversion his beliefs represent. Catholics are free to follow such a despicable person if they desire, I’m not who you will have to answer to for that decision.

  23. 762x51 says:

True, but still the late Iron Age. It also marked the beginning of the Dark Ages since the fall of the Roman Empire left a power vacuum in the region. History, it seems, is repeating itself.
