Profiles in Anti-Libertarianism: Gary Johnson

Given the unprecedented weakness of the opposition, this election was a golden opportunity for the party. But they blew it by nominating a candidate who has no use for the principles the party supposedly stands for. This time I’m not talking about Donald Trump, but the authoritarian liberal Gary Johnson, who wants Big Government to confiscate more of our money in order to save us from the climate:

“I do believe that climate change is occurring. I do believe that it is man-caused,” Johnson said.

To address climate change, Johnson said he believes “that there can be and is a free-market approach to climate change.”

That would include a fee — not a tax, he said — placed on carbon. Such a fee would make pollutants bear a market cost.

What is the difference between a fee and a tax? A fee is what you call a tax when you are talking to an Alaska newspaper, as above. When talking to the Los Angeles Times, it is safe to call a tax a tax:

“I’m open also to the notion of a carbon tax. … I’m not looking at this as a revenue generator, as much as there are costs associated with, there are health and safety issues with carbon.”

Carbon — a.k.a. carbon dioxide — is generated by literally all productive human activity. Plants convert it into the oxygen we breathe. Yet moonbats want to punish us for producing it.

As for the “health and safety issues,” there are literally none. There is only the ideological issue. The farther out you go on the authoritarian left, the more greedy parasites you will find who wield the discredited dogma of anthropogenic global warming like a highway robber’s shillelagh.

According to Johnson, imposing punitive taxes on productivity is a “free market approach.” This drug-addled statist wouldn’t know a free market if it crawled into his bong.

The closest Johnson has come to sincerity recently was when he proclaimed that he agrees with the neo-Marxist Bernie Sanders 73% of the time. On the spectrum of freedom, he is closer to Kim Jong-un than he is to a libertarian.

Flying high, but only in his mind.

Wow…Gary Johnson would be right at home at Moonbattery.

Gary Johnson, Libertarian Nominee, Denounces Donald Trump as Authoritarian

  2. kirklesworthFascistAssholE says:

So, what you are saying is, pretty much everyone all across the spectrum, except you and the other fascist assholes that infest this site, think tRump is a fascist asshole. Got it!

See you on the battlefield, asshole.

  3. KirklesWorth says:

So, Torcer let its attack dog off its leash this morning already? You are a self-parody.

  4. Grumpy Cat says:

    Probably Occam’s Ass Carbuncle.

  5. Grumpy Cat says:

So for the #NeverTwumpets that means…move to Canada!

  6. kirklesworthGetsHis says:

I bet Torcer thinks it’s funny as hell you imitate him, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Of course with your limited IQ and clueless command of facts, what else can you do? After all, you imitate your cult leader all the time. Squawk for us polly parrot.

The day draws near, asshole, when you and the other assholes won’t be able to hide any longer. It will be time to pay for what you filth have done. Every single day now, civil war gets closer and closer, all because of shit stains like you.

Smug little asshole like you, no doubt you’ve treated enough people like dirt that someone out there already has your number. In all the chaos, settling scores will be a common place occurrence. I bet you never see it coming, or maybe they will take their time with you and you WILL see it coming. I wonder which it will be?!? LMAO!

  7. 762x51 says:

So kirklesworth sucks tRumps dick and your job is to follow kirklesworth around and lick up what he misses, apparently. That semens to be the limit of your abilities.

  8. KirklesWorth says:

Don’t worry – I certainly won’t be flattering you. But please continue to illustrate how unhinged anti-Trumpers behave so there are no questions about their irrationality. You are the embodiment of everything you screech about, and making any insinuations about how I supposedly “treated enough people like dirt” is laughable coming from you.

  9. TeutonicNight4893 says:

I believe Man-made climate change is real; but it’s not from our air conditioners, carbon dioxide output, or fluorocarbons, etc.

It is from programs like HAARP, that blast billions of watts into the ionosphere.

CO2 is just the scapegoat to generate controversy, distraction, and more government expansion.
Look up HAARP, how it works, why it was developed.

See? Flashes of humor but the anger overpowers everything else.

The Michigan State Supreme Court, in the “Bolt Decision” said that if you can opt out, it’s a fee. If you can’t, it’s a tax.

  13. Stephen says:

I was curious to see how other politicians compared to Trump’s “mixed” review on immigration. Rubio and Ryan look like they’d get the equivalent of “mixed” despite being die hard open borders guys and Cruz would get a “good” not withstanding that he sponsored a ‘let’s not call it amnesty’ amnesty amendment and wanted to increase immigration 5 fold (until he figured out this was hurting him against Trump).

I’m trying to imagine what it must take to be “bad”, what does Hillary or Johnson want that would be worse than the Gang of 8? A program to expedite the resettlement of cannibals into neighborhoods with excellent elementary schools? Alas the website wants my email and I get enough spam scam fundraiser emails as it is.

  16. Eddie_Valiant says:

The Supreme Court under John Roberts essentially said the same thing about Obummercare. While the administration flaks called it fee, the minute they got to the Court, it became a tax and Roberts folded like a cheap lawn chair when he wrote that Congress can lay any taxes for any reason. Even though no one ever instituted a tax for NOT doing anything, cowardly Roberts came up with this farce of a reason.

    The difference being, of course, that;

    1. I only only treat assholes like you this way.

    2. Force is the only way to stop fascist assholes like you, there is nothing “unhinged” about it. Just sitting here quietly and taking your bullshit would be “unhinged”.

    3. You came here and started being an asshole to everyone and don’t like being pushed back against, being the little fascist asshole you have so clearly demonstrated yourself to be.

    4. The thing you hate the most is that no matter how much you “report” me and no doubt others. nothing has happened to us. What good is your fascism, little man, if no one acts on your “reports?

You go on “keeping an eye on things,

KirklesWorth Torcer • 17 hours ago
Yeah…you keep asking that…the answer is: to keep an eye on things. Why are you here and do you have a problem with me being here? Kirklesworth 8/18/2016

Jr. Nazi, fascist fuck and I’ll be here to tell you to go fuck yourself, every step of the way.

  20. KirklesWorth says:

    1. You don’t treat yourself that way.
    2. You should be using force on yourself for being a fascist.
    3. You are a baby.
    4. You are a creepy stalking psycho-troll.
    5. Apparently you don’t see the irony of criticizing me keeping an eye on things and you stalking me.
    6. Follow your own advice.

  22. kirklesworthGoFuckYourself says:

    1. DUH!!
    2. Opposing your fascism does not make me a fascist, idiot. I do not require you to think or believe as I do, I require you to stop forcing your bullshit on everyone else.
    3. I am a combat veteran.
    4. You are a fascist pussy who can dish it out but can’t take it.
    5. Apparently, you are too stupid to see there is no irony in opposing a fascist with force. That is how it has always been done.
    6. Go fuck yourself.

  23. THOUGHTCRIMINAL2084 says:

I fully support manmade “climate change” if it is real.. it will quickly create world peace due to the population culling. It is a self correcting mechanism that must be allowed to self correct.

  24. Artfuldgr says:

But they blew it by nominating a candidate who has no use for the principles the party supposedly stands for

Blaming the wrong entity wont help… turns out those conservatives didnt have enough sex to have enough children to actually have enough people voting to be the ones to choose the president… too bad their daughters go to college, and come out barren and liberal (see Jolie vs her dad), and then want to import replacements

    your own people blew it…

trumps people did not control who were the party members who chose the candidate, they had been chosen in the past… not the current… trump didnt stop these wack jobs from having no children and so no voters… trump did not spend the past 40 years caving into the dems on every issue and letting rino control the party.

when you look in the mirror, thats where the blame should go
because to blame people for following the voters in a representative democracy reduces the system to a competition between two equal totalitarianist groups, neither of which want to serve the people they have disdain for, which is mostly everyone… (this is clear given the votes vs votes)…

if you havent gotten it right to win the people over in 40 years, its trumps fault? like bushes fault? like romneys fault? mccains fault? anyone BUT the people who put up losers and malcontents and so on for 40 years…
