Race Riot Triggers Epidemic of Color Blindness

A health crisis has broken out in Chicago. An epidemic of color blindness has devastated the already frail credibility of area journalists.

Normally liberal journalists are acutely aware of color, to the point of placing their obsession with negritude and alleged black oppression at the center of the universe and insisting others do the same or be denounced as “racists.” However, this keen color perception, so essential to a journalist’s career, can become completely disabled by a certain type of event — like the riots that periodically occur on or near Chicago’s Magnificent Mile:

Chicago police were dealing with hundreds of teens running through downtown Chicago Wednesday night, yelling, stopping traffic and running in the streets.

A huge police presence did not deter the rowdy behavior at Millennium Park.

They also looted stores, assaulted tourists, stole phones, et cetera.

As always, there were no consequences for the sociopathic behavior of the “teens.”

Twenty males and six females were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. All 26 were released from custody.

The same hyperacute color vision that caused a historic mural in nearby Oak Park to be banished to the Memory Hole for depicting white people became so disabled by the chaos that the media did not mention that this was a race riot.

You can find out what actually happened by watching video, or you can refer to the alternative press:

If local media is to be believed, race had nothing to do with the fact that every single one of the rioters was black. …

To their credit, at least the Second City Cop blog and let us know about the violence and the official indifference to it. But even these usually stalwart sources of good info about Chicago just could not bring themselves to mention that, for at least the third time this year, Chicago had a good old-fashioned race riot.

The Fox affiliate did not even report the violence: They only real thing that happened was a large police presence “triggered,” apparently, for no reason whatsoever except for “monitoring.”

Steve Chapman of the Chicago Tribune has explained that these bouts of color blindness occur because only a racist would want to know who is responsible for their city disintegrating into anarchy:

“Why do you care so much about the attacker’s race? If you fear or dislike blacks, I suppose it would confirm your prejudice. But otherwise it tells you nothing useful.”

However, let a group of Caucasians behave like this and media color blindness would be instantly cured.

In the meantime, keep in mind that no one checked the IDs of the 500 rioters to confirm that they are in their teens. In the context of mayhem, “teens” means “blacks.”
