Rand Paul, RINOs, and the Fork in the Road for the GOP

mccain_graham_imperial_officers

You know the heroic stand Rand Paul took against tyranny with his historic filibuster was a success not only because Eric Holder reversed course and renounced the use of drones to kill Americans on American soil without due process, but by the reaction of the dinosaurs dominating the Republican establishment. Snipes the useless loser John McCain:

“If Mr. Paul wants to be taken seriously he needs to do more than pull political stunts that fire up impressionable libertarian kids in their college dorms.”

Anyone who supports Tea Party values against brutish Big Government can take that as a declaration of war.

Fellow RINO and amnesty devotee Lindsey Graham praises Obama’s drone policy. According to Grahamnesty, Rand Paul “has a view that I don’t think is a Republican view” regarding the White House’s authority to kill Americans without trial; he expressed scornful “disappointment” with those who agree with Paul.

The Republican Party has reached a fork in the road. It can follow McCain and Graham into the tar pits, or it can follow Rand Paul back to relevance and competitiveness. Under RINOs, terror of Democrats is the only reason for anyone to vote for the GOP, and Romney’s defeat proved that is insufficient. You can’t beat something with nothing, and nothing whatsoever is what the Old Guard stands for.

Six time US presidential candidate of the Socialist Party of America Norman Thomas was prophetic:

“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Having completely taken over the Democrat Party, American socialists are accomplishing what the Soviet Red Army didn’t dare try.

But maybe it isn’t too late to reverse them. Maybe libertarian patriots can play the same trick by taking command of the driverless vehicle of the Republican Party, infusing it with purpose, principle, and appeal to rebellious youth.

It’s that or try to start over with a third party; the GOP either rids itself of McCain, Graham, et al. or it withers and dies.

The two useless wimps in that pic, along with crybaby Boener and “dumb-dumb” McConell are the reasons the Marxist-in-Chief is sitting in the Oval Office. These clowns need to be swept aside.

I seriously question whether we’d be better off as a nation if McCain was elected pres in 2008. For the record I didn’t vote for McCain in 2008 even though Palin was on the ticket. I voted third party as I’ve done since 1988; however I did vote for Willard in the last presidential election. Contrary to popular belief, he was by far the most “conservative” GOP candidate since ‘St Ronald’ in 1980. Back to McCain, he is arguably the most duplicitous little creep in the Republican Party. How he managed to capture the GOP nomination in 2008 is anybody’s guess. My guess is the fundamental transformation that Obama always talks about occurred well before Obama was even elected Senator of Illinois; hence, pro-amnesty slime like McCain became the GOP nominee. I approximate the fundamental transformation occurred in 1965. That year was the turning point. Now we’ve reached the point of no return. Demographics is destiny as the wise men say, and we’ve passed the demographic tipping point somewhere during Dubya’s 8 years as president…thanks to our nation wreaking immigration policies coupled with a wide open Southern border.

Is or isn’t Rand Paul a RINO? He voted for that vicious anti-Semite naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews Hagel moonbattery despises so much for Secretary of Defense afterall.

The old GOP are way too affraid of conflict with the president. In an ideal world for them, they’d just enjoy their tea and nod passively during sessions.

    Anonymoose concern troll sock puppet
Lets try a little reason on you.
Paul could filibuster all day long, but the fact of the matter is RINO’s were always going to drop a knee in submission anyway….Even had that nominee been the son of Stalin.
Whomever is nominated will only follow in lockstep with Obama’s policies, who in turn obeys Soros’s policies.
Paul made his point, yet abstained from a petty game of picking an open sore with Republicans.
    Same goes with Brennan.
RINO’s agree with Obama and Soros that due process takes the back burner to the power of the state.
Rand exposed this. It’s all he could ever do under the circumstances.
The right may well henceforth hate Paul for this, and instead opt for the next Rove hand picked mush to go down in flames against the hapless Biden.
But at least now they shouldn’t act surprised as the Hellfire missiles rain down on their Tea Party.
Nor should you and your fellow useful idiots

  10. Joe says:

Does anybody take McLame seriously? Anybody?
Do us a favor johnboy. Retire and don’t let the door hit ya in the ass on the way out. Seriously.

  11. whotothewhat says:

With likes of McLame and his fellow RINOS it is about feathering there own nests. They want to be able to go to the DC partys and hang with the power brokers in DC. They want the leftist press to like them and they want a spot in the Bunker next to Adolf when things get bleak. They are not there to represent the Voter anymore its about power.

So us little people better not mess that up for them if we know what is good for us.

  12. Skyfall says:

I don’t know, Ghost…I’ve got the same concerns as Anon. I think Paul did a really powerful thing…actual action. He sure as hell exposed McLoser and the rest. There can be NO question where they stand now.

That said, the fact that he supported Hagel, combined with his dad’s open hostility towards Israel, and I’m not about to embrace him as any kind of political savior. Hagel is BAD news, a total Muslim sympathizer…and all Paul had to say was “no”.

    Not good.

  13. Clingtomyguns says:

All we need to know is that Barack Hussein Obama is incrementally implementing his mentor’s and the Weather Underground’s plan that called for the elimination of as many as 25 million American’s. The evidence comes in every day from weaponizing and arming civilian agencies, to sightings for foreign troops in the US, to buying tanks and solicting bids for security forces to run camps – and the attempts to confiscate guns.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBtANp4IKVk

McLame and Gramnesty have bought into this plan and the expansion of government and have no tolerance for dissent. Otherwise they would be beating down the White House doors and holding hearings on why this is going on, instead of dining with BHO. The efforts of Rand Paul and Ted Cruz and the Tea Party, and I hope they are successful, will be the last stand at the national level for a while, before we all have to go Galt.

  14. AngryK9 says:

McCain is either too dumb or too senile to understand what Senator Paul was trying to accomplish.

  15. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

    Skyfall
I understand where you are coming from, with principle and all.
However, what would he have accomplished by continuing to raise a royal rhubarb ?
Had he carried on as most politicians would have, the message Rand was trying to send would have been drowned out completely by accusations from all rat holes of political motivations.
The way I see it, he fell on his sword so as to highlight the symbiotic grease pit both parties in DC wallow in, and now you have no doubt exactly who sic’d the drone on you.
He is in there for your benefit, rather than his own self serving lust for power.

The trouble is, we have experienced the latter for so long, we can no longer recognize selflessness.

This is not to say we won’t have our run in’s with Paul, but hopefully we can understand his motives.

  16. Son of Taz says:

Politics has always been a full contact sport, but it’s never been so necessary to bring out the heavy artillery as it is now.

This is serious stuff. I see our country going down the tubes if the socialists, or really, communists, aren’t stopped. We need more than one guy to show he has a pair; we need dozens of reps and senators to pick the fight and stick with it.

The days of going to swanky cocktail parties and hanging out with the big money guys are over. The hell with making friends or keeping your seat. Swing hard and deliver a full body blow to the communists, and pound them every day. Go after the useful idiots in the media too. Hammer away at them every day.

If elected officials do this, one of two things will happen – we win and win big, or the gimme crowd turns out in force to vote all conservative fighters out. If that happens, the guns come out.

We could use our weapons, but if it comes to that, it has to be a complete victory – many will die. I’m really not looking for that as a solution.

Take off the gloves guys, and start fighting back twice as hard as the brown idiot does. Communists are cowards, which is why they want to take all guns. When the opposition fights back, they will fold like cheap lawn chairs.

    I stand with Rand!

Don’t throw the Pauls under the bus because of their opinion on Israel. They are not hostile, Ron and his son want us to follow the Founders foreign policy, look it up! The Tea Party can’t embrace the Founders without their foreign policy views:

“I am for free commerce with all nations, political connection with none, and little or no diplomatic establishment. And I am not for linking ourselves by new treaties with the quarrels of Europe, entering that field of slaughter to preserve their balance, or joining in the confederacy of Kings to war against the principles of liberty.” –Thomas Jefferson to E. Gerry, 1799.

“Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence, (I conjure you to believe me fellow citizens) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake; since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of Republican Government.”-

I called both of the traitor’s home offices and let my rage rip.

I asked their lackey secretaries to explain to me how what they have been up to isn’t outright treason since both of these commie bastards have been working behind the scenes in a conspiracy with democrats for years to pass their mass amnesty. This is subversion against our existing US laws and against the will of the American people, also against their oaths and the Constitution itself. Especially when Traitor McLame outright lied to the AZ voters when he backtracked on his open borders views just to win against true patriot JD Hayworth. He lied and said he would listen to his constituents while the entire time he was busy working his open borders conspiracy with the democrats.

If I’m “trolling” anyone it’s moonbattery because moonbattery can’t seem decide which is more important: sending Americans off to die for Israel or stopping a FedGov that has no qualms with slaughtering anyone it doesn’t like (see Waco, TX).

    Skyfall,

If you can’t bring yourself to support a politician making a stand against an abusive and corrupt FedGov that feels nothing but contempt for you because said politician voted for another politician who stated he regards his duty to his own country to be more important than serving the interests of Israel, you need to get your priorities straight. Otherwise, you’re some kind of fifth column.

    Sven,

It’s not what man says, it’s what God says that’s important. He told us to pray for Israel and materially support Israel. You can’t really argue with that.

  26. DJ says:

I don’t think God would be pleased with the type of “support” the U.S.A. has been providing Israel. For example: support in the form slaughtering millions of Iraqis just so the Jews can feel a little safer. Something about that type of support rings evil to me.

  27. Slats Grobnik says:

I know everyone is so excited that comrade Paul saved the republic but did you know the house approved a trillion dollar budget increase while he was running interference?

  28. Ummah Gummah says:

    .

DJ, where have we slaughtered “millions of Iraqis”? I also think that leaving Saddam in power was better for Israel than handing it to iran, which is what is happening. Iraq and iran used to balance each other out quite nicely. I don’t thing “the Jooz” are stupid enough to think that what we have now is better than how it was before.

This was not done “for the Jooz” feeling a little safer.

The best way for them to feel safe would be to unchain Israel and send all the Trans-Jordanian terrorists currently occupying Judea and Samaria packing to the East Bank where they belong.

  29. DJ says:

    Ummah,

As you already know I’m a fan of the late Rabbi Kahane. And you should remember I share your opinion that both Israel AND the USA would have been better off if we left Saddam in power. We’ve agreed on that subject at the Memo.

Okay, maybe saying “slaughtering millions of Iraqis” was hyperbolic, but surely you can agree that the neocons’ military aggressions/sanctions heaped upon the Iraqi people resulted in millions of deaths, no? Furthermore these neocons’ motivation, in the larger scheme of things, was in large part to enhance the security of Israel. At least that’s what I understand it to be.

In any event, my comment was directed at Jodie. I.e. it was made in the context of a Christian v Christian POV not a Christian v Jewish POV. To be more specific, I think Christian Zionists are annoying to say the least. They ring of a certain disingenuousness or cluelessness. Of course most Jews and I share that in common.

  30. DJ says:

Of course most Jews and I share that in common.

  31. DJ says:

“Of course most Jews and I share that in common”

Should read: Of course most Jews and I share the same opinion that Christian Zionists are disingenuous or clueless.

  32. Jodie says:

7 This is what the Lord says—
the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel—
to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation,
    to the servant of rulers:
“Kings will see you and stand up,
princes will see and bow down,
because of the Lord, who is faithful,
the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”

    Restoration of Israel

8 This is what the Lord says:

“In the time of my favor I will answer you,
    and in the day of salvation I will help you;
I will keep you and will make you
to be a covenant for the people,
    to restore the land
and to reassign its desolate inheritances,
9 to say to the captives, ‘Come out,’
and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’

Commandment # 5: Thou shalt not MURDER.

    http://www.ewtn.com/expert/answers/just_war.htm

The Iraq war(s) did not meet the criteria of the Just War Doctrine – not even close. Hence, it was an exercise in murderious brutality committed mainly for the benefit of the security of Israel.

“Now in a work of major importance, Mearsheimer and Walt deepen and expand their argument and confront recent developments in Lebanon and Iran. They describe the remarkable level of material and diplomatic support that the United States provides to Israel and argues that this support cannot be fully explained on either strategic or moral grounds. This exceptional relationship is due largely to the political influence of a loose coalition of individuals and organizations that actively work to shape U.S. foreign policy in a pro-Israel direction. Mearsheimer and Walt provocatively contend that the lobby has a far-reaching impact on America’s posture throughout the Middle East–in Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, and toward the Israeli-Palestinian conflict–and the policies it has encouraged are in neither America’s national interest nor Israel’s long-term interest. The lobby’s influence also affects America’s relationship with important allies and increases dangers that all states face from global jihadist terror.”
