Robert Stephens, Oppressed Victim of Capitalism

The recent Day of Rage was a total flop, but it did allow self-styled Bolivian socialist Robert Stephens to make a name for himself. This video has spread his fame all the way to Iran:

The Blaze provides some background on this theatrical clown:

Robert Stephens graduated from Carleton College (average cost: $42,942/year) in 2010 and now studies law at The George Washington University Law School (average cost: $70,449/year). His father has a Ph.D. and two master’s degrees; his mother also has a master’s degree. Only in America could a kid have been blessed with so much… and only in America could he still claim to be a victim. America’s capitalist society has apparently leveled a grave injustice against his family and Robert will not stand for it.

If his parents couldn’t pay their mortgage, they were probably living in the Taj Mahal.

Yet again we see that the Left is almost as phony as it is malignant. Congrats to Robert on an auspicious start to a lucrative political career.

On a tip from J.

Our universities are turning out some fine young libtards, aren’t they?

  2. Grunt says:

Question: Why didn’t he <i.help his folks by working and giving them the money to meet their monetary obligations? Sure, he’s willing to go to jail.

In a country that, for the most part, will try to assure he’s treated somewhat reasonably, kept fed, dry and comfortable…until the next morning, when his folks–who can’t afford to keep their home, have to part with yet more long green to get Sonny-Boy outta jail.

That’s a liberal mind for ya.

  3. Jimbo says:

I have to ask; why would a young black professional victim go to George Washington University. Doesn’t he know George Washington inherited 10 slaves on his 11th birthday?

Hmmmm…. why would a young black professional victim go to George Washington University? tap-tap-tap-tap

As for this ‘Robert Stevens’ video – as I’ve preached for years, liberals are TOTALLY suicidal. Not to mention they’re pussies. What a loser.

“Question: Why didn’t he <i.help his folks by working and giving them the money to meet their monetary obligations? "

According to The Blaze, that's because he's not telling the whole story:

"Phone inquiries into the county property records & taxpayer services office reveal that the Stephens family home is not and never has been in foreclosure, that property taxes had been paid in full this year and the remaining balance on their mortgage for the half-million dollar home is less than one year’s worth of tuition+fees at their son’s law school.

The nail in this empty protest‘s coffin is a delightful phone conversation I just had with Robert’s mother, Marquita, where she admitted Chase Bank indeed was not “taking” their home from them. Instead, due to a recent “reduction in income,” they’ve decided to hold a “short sale.” "

  5. SPURWING PLOVER says:

Another grasshopper type mooching off the hard working ants and getting all sorts of liberals grasshoppers to help out

  6. Uneducated Moonbat says:

    THAT’S RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. AC says:

There will be plenty of time for helping poor folks when he’s pulling down a tenured salary, driving a Mercedes, and sipping champagne with the DC ivory tower crowd. Nothing says “solidarity” with the poor like a bunch of moonbat academics congregated in a historic brownstone, reminiscing on the “character building” experiences of their youth, like the quest for attention described above. Many years from now, when the machine has promoted him to the rank of Congresscritter or poverty pimp, he’ll be able to tell a heavily embellished version of this story to impress the twenty-something intern before sticking it in her, hunched over the $15,000 desk paid for by working taxpayers.

  8. Bob Roberts says:

The sad thing is there are many liberal-infested law schools bent on ensuring that all future judges are liberal moonbats. From some recent court decisions I’d say the strategy is working.

  9. Bob Roberts says:

After all his pathetic whining – did they arrest him/take him to jail?

  10. ROFLCOPTER DOWN says:

By the modern standard, This guy is clearly well on his way to being a civil rights legend….

    THATS THE BANK! LololololololSTFU

  11. NMS says:

Hey jackass, finish law school and pay for your parents new house.

  12. James McEnanly says:

As Will Rogers, a much wiser man with fewer degrees, once said, “It isn’t what we don’t know that gives us trouble, it’s what we know that ain’t so.”

So, in other words, not only is he a class- warfare prick, he’s also a bald- faced liar.
Obama could probably get him a cushy job somewhere.

  14. Fiberal says:

This guy has simply discovered a way to exploit what he knew all along to be true –there is no greater sin in the U.S. of A. than the vicitmization of blacks.

It is generally true for most blacks, that sometime between a restless and unproductive grade school through the squalid victories of high school physical ed., to the torture and frustration of higher education, to the inevitable street, victimhood will eventually beacon.

  15. Lyn says:

That’s the actor who played Roger from the old TV show “What’s Happening” isn’t it? I wondered what happened to that guy. It looks like he’s gotten himself into trouble on purpose. Guess he wanted street credibility.

  16. Jay B. says:

Oh yes, universities are cranking out fine gentlemen and scholars here. You can definately tell that money spent on him was wisely spent.

  17. AC says:

Hey jackass, finish law school and pay for your parents new house.

A moonbatty, soon-to-be public interest lawyer?

He’ll finish law school and we’ll pay for his parents new house.

  18. Zim says:

    Stop your whining.

  19. batman says:

Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.

    Vladimir Lenin

Give us the child for 8 years and it will be a Bolshevik forever.

    Vladimir Lenin
Carleton College, and George Washington University law schools. Could be POTUS, same qualifications as the current COMMUNity activIST-in-chief.

  20. Winston Smith says:

Bury him in the coffin 6 feet under and see if he can punch his way out “Kill Bill” style.

  21. Alan says:

Day of Rage? It’s already on the calendar: 11/6/2012.

  22. Right Reason says:

His parents have, combined, a Ph.D. and three masters desgrees and cannot pay their mortgage?

Perhaps he should be screaming at the White House and Obama for ruining the economy. Seems his parents were able to pay their mortgage while George Bush was President.

  23. Bob LaBla says:

The funniest part of this whole story is that Robert “Trust Fund Douchebag Liar Extraordinaire” Stephens was the toast of DailyKos for two straight days.

Of course, that all ended when Beck’s Blaze torched the little shit’s story.

Not a single comment to any of the threads on Kos since then…

    Interesting, that. ROFLMAO!!!

  24. Penny says:

    Adam says:

“So, in other words, not only is he a class- warfare prick, he’s also a bald- faced liar.
Obama could probably get him a cushy job somewhere.”

Yep. They’d have been just fine apparently if they’d bought a $400,000 dollar house instead of a half-million one, and with a short sale they can just up and move somewhere a bit less expensive. Somehow, I’m not seeing the tragedy here. Is the liberal blogosphere so up in arms about eight year-old Ugandans being burnt to death to make way for a carbon-credit farm?

  25. STEELWOLVES says:

So are his parents unemployed? Do they *NEED* a $500,000 home? What type of job do they have? What is their income? Food 4 thought.

  26. Contessa61 says:

A person with a phd cannot pay the mortgage? Then they bought too much house.

  27. Joe says:

Just goes to show you can have all the phd’s, Md’s, bd’s, ba’s and whatever other degree you want to study for, AND STILL BE AN IDIOT!!!!

Look, dope. It’s not our problem. Get a job.

  28. SPURWING PLOVER says:

More ananarcists disapointed that their day of rage was a bomb

  29. beforethestorm says:

I say this in all sincerity: It would have been good for him to have been punched a few times as a child. (Not by adults, but other children, I hasten to add.)

  30. Mr. S says:

    “Robert Stephens, with a PH”

  31. John Knoefler says:

His mom makes over a $100,000.00 a year. I wonder what his dad makes.

  32. Bob Roberts says:

If you look into this at THE BLAZE here is what you find:

There’s just one problem: Robert Stephens’ story is (surprise!) completely bogus.

Phone inquiries into the county property records & taxpayer services office reveal that the Stephens family home is not and never has been in foreclosure, that property taxes had been paid in full this year and the remaining balance on their mortgage for the half-million dollar home is less than one year’s worth of tuition+fees at their son’s law school.

The nail in this empty protest‘s coffin is a delightful phone conversation I just had with Robert’s mother, Marquita, where she admitted Chase Bank indeed was not “taking” their home from them. Instead, due to a recent “reduction in income,” they’ve decided to hold a “short sale.”

When I asked Mrs. Stephens if she and her husband planned to stay in their suburban St. Paul, Minn., surroundings after the sale, she told me they weren’t too keen on the idea. The area is “a bit too conservative,” she said.

  33. rob says:

Why didn’t his parents apply for a loan on a house they could afford? Why is it the bank’s fault that they couldn’t pay back the loan they agreed to repay? You know, the loan with reams of disclosures, and the three day right of recision? The loan that clearly states that the bank would have a lien on title as security against the loan so that in the event that they couldn’t repay the loan the bank could resell the house to recoup their loses. I’m confused. Can someone help me out?

  34. Jim says:

So, In short, my guess is that dad’s probably retiring after giving his kids the education he thought they deserved, and they need considerably less house than they did previously. So his kid decides unilaterally to save them from “the man”. Bad news kid sounds like your dad is “the man”. Furthermore, if he sells the house for more than 70k he’s out ahead, not impressively but ahead.

  35. Conservative Behemoth says:

Don’t they still teach contract law at law school?

Let me break it down for you………
Homeowner and bank agree that if the monthly mortgage obligation isn’t met the mortgagee (lender) can foreclose on the property leveraged as collateral (your house). Funny, I’ve been to hundreds of closings and I’ve NEVER seen a homebuyer not agree to those terms.
Maybe this guy should ask his parents why they didn’t pay their bills……….
