Sally Kohn: Another Step to the Left by Fox News

Even with Geraldo Rivera, Shep Smith, Alan Colmes, Juan Williams, et al., the suits at Fox News apparently feel they don’t provide soapboxes to enough flaming moonbats to qualify as Fair and Balanced. Now they are importing George Soros-financed ultra-radical Rachel Maddow types.

Sally Kohn, a former senior strategist at the Soros-funded Center for Community Change, has been hired as a Fox News Contributor. Soros is the controversial hedge fund billionaire, convicted of insider trading in France, who finances the “progressive” movement in the U.S.

It is significant that Kohn is now a regular paid commentator on Fox News, while Glenn Beck, the one-time archenemy of George Soros, was ousted from the channel last year and now hosts an Internet TV show.

An open lesbian who shuns feminine attire and frequently wears a suit jacket, Kohn is joining Fox News after being a regular on such programs as “The Ed Show” on liberal rival MSNBC. She is now officially part of the “Fox News Family,” as she puts it, and has been making appearances on the channel for several days.

The selection of Kohn raises disturbing questions about the direction of Fox News in a critical election year. Kohn worked at the Center for Community Change, one of the leading Soros-funded groups, for six years, from 2004–2010. During this period, the group received $5.8 million from Soros’s main vehicle, the Open Society Institute (OSI).

If we wanted to listen to leftists shriek, we would turn the channel to MSNBC. At least if Fox News goes full moonbat, we can save the money spent on cable bills by putting our TV sets out with the trash.

Not likely to put in a good word for the Tea Party.

On a tip from IslandLifer.

I see she has Maddow’s tampon in her teeth again.

  2. Shooter1001 says:

This is the lefty bitch that laughs and shakes her head while other people are talking. She needs some manners.

  3. AnotherWatcher says:

I would love to know if she thinks Soros is a progressive like she is.

  4. Hedgehog says:

Sign up for GBTV. Cable is going around the bend to the left.

  5. TomH says:

I like Sally better than Jamu and Alan. She reminds me of a more affable Donna Brazil.

  6. Brian_Boru says:

    Isn’t that Janet Napolitano???

  7. Chris says:

Sally Cohn is hideous; she personifies the callous attitude of the elitist progressive establishment. She has only one direction – hard, clueless left. Her smirking smugness is the shitty icing on her shitty liberal cake.

OTOH, She is pretty much interchangeable with most of the other lefties on fox. Consider:
Jehmu Greene – black apologist for obama – total idiot
Marc L. Hill – black apologist for obama – total idiot Dick Fartpootlian – blathering idiot
Debbie Wassername Shultz – blathering idiot
    Penny Marshall – blathering idiot
    Geraldo – blathering idiot

come to think of it I can’t think of any lefty on fox who isn’t a lying, disingenuous shill for all things ‘progressive’ and a slavish devotee to the marxist ideals of the democrats and obama/reid/pelosi cabal.

But the libs may have outsmarted themselves on this one.
Sally Conehead may prove insufferable even for fox. She belongs on MSNBC with the other dreck.

  8. Alborn49 says:

I left fox news about eight months ago. It was obvious they were moving to the left in time for the election. Other will wake up soon and Fox’s viewership will plumet just like the others. The internet is the way to go. I use PJ Media, Reason, Big sites and Hot Air and GBTV, Right Scoop and get all the news I need.

  9. Maudie in Mandeville says:

When will you turn your sets off? Seriously?

  10. I shitcanned my cable about 9 months ago.

  11. kyleb2119 says:

I’m fine with Fox getting a new leftist punching bag, but this chick is revolting. She’s got the most epic liberal “smug face” of all time–just stomach churning to watch. Everything about her screams she knows she’s full of sh#$, but takes too much perverse pleasure in corrupting a once-great culture to stop.

  12. John Lewis says:

Fox? That left-wing rag!! It hasn’t been conservative in the last two years.

  13. Beef says:

It seems inevitable that all news institutions gradually get co-opted by the leftist orthodoxy that dominates the jouralistic profession. Fox was a success because they offered an alternative to the monolithic liberal agenda. If they abandon the non-liberal demographic, that means there is an opportunity for soemone else. I don’t watch much of it anymore.

  14. brenda says:

i read sally’s story on keystone pipeline and was finely coming out with truth i can see after reading this page that like members of congress that some of you also put money into the pipeline i’ll stay with msnbc

  15. Maybe pushing ‘normal’ farther to the left in the public’s eye helps them in pimping Romney as ‘conservative’

  16. Hawkman says:

I agree, on a few points. Fox seems to be openly supporting what I’ll call the establishment, as is seen in Uncle Bill’s insisting that Romney will be the candidate. I also agree that the Internet is where reality lives. One of the sites that. I read regularly is America’s Right. Awesome insights and good writing.

  17. RKae says:

    Reganite Republican:

“Romney as conservative” just shows you how far we’ve sunk. “In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.”

  18. Unonymous says:

No surprise. Fox News has always had some lefties and plenty of RINOs around. But they always move more to the center around elections to draw in more viewers.

  19. Agnostic Conservative says:

    Why the surprise?

Murdoch’s media in the UK is decidedly left wing.

Now he is doing the same with the US.

Get used to more Mitt Romneys and John McCains being pushed by Fox News.

  20. Mr. Galt says:

Apparently, FOX mistakenly believes they can appease the W.H. crocodile in the hopes it will eat them last.

    Epic fail.

  21. Alwaysright says:

That’s it! The final straw. I’ve put up with the moron Geraldo. I’ve put up with the moron Shep. Suffered through the funereal Alan Colmes. The insufferable Jehmu. Fox has jumped the shark. I’m gone. . . along with a lot of other people I have talked to.

  22. Jules says:

Stopped watching Fox when they started acting like Romney was “The One”.

(Way too reminiscent of the whole Obama fiasco.)

  23. Garpin says:

Fair and balanced. If it’s just a slogan, then it doesn’t matter either way. As it stands, there is nothing close. Nothing.

As to the matter at hand, should we find ourselves in such a poor position ideologically, perhaps our position is not as strong as we would believe it is and time to find our way back to the proverbial drawing board. – (naaa, never mind it’s not US.

I welcome more screaming democrats as half the time they make our arguments for us. The other half of they time, they just disgrace themselves and their party.

No doubt, her lefty creds are bonafide. Hopefully, she will be forced to defend herself, she’s a good writer lets see how she thinks on her feet. With any luck she won’t be another Alan Colmes.

  24. Zorro says:

Sally personifies “Lesbian Libtard” with bad clothes, bad hair, and no manners. She is mental patient material.

  25. HF says:

You folks don’t get it: This is coming from Roger Ailes himself. He wants FOX to move more to the “center” They will introduce more & more folks like this liberal douche in an effort to capture more audience share. It will backfire on Ailes & fox.

  26. HF says:

If we tolerate the Idiocy Of Marc Lamont Hill we will tolerate anything. Spit.

  27. Dr. 9 says:

Perhaps this will finally convince those fools who think Fox is a Conservative news outlet. They are not! They are simply less obvious than cnn or msnbc. Also, their on-air talking clowns are the biggest purveyors of “PC-speak” on TV. They are addicted to political correctness.

Another reason not to waste your time watching them? They show far more commercials (their true objective) than any other “news” channel. Check for yourself.

  28. In reading so much opposition to Fox having an ideologue from a proven lost Ideology, clearly and consistency evident with every spoken word, I am amused.

Have you heard her and looked at her while she pontificates in the voice and face of that over endowed ego of self presumptions? Just listen, she more than often makes her opponents case in mere attitude and ineptitude.

“Noise proves nothing. Often a hen who has merely laid an egg, cackles as if she laid an asteroid.-Mark Twain

  29. Agnostic Conservative says:

Dr. 9 – There is no such thing as a “liberal” media or a “conservative” media.

The big media outlets are pro-state. That is all.

Unless the media is pro-state and pro-people/corporations dependent on the state, it would have no purpose as a propaganda tool.

And Fox is as guilty as the rest of them for being a statist propaganda tool.

  30. Agnostic Conservative says:

HF – I doubt it will backfire on Ailes.

The average Fox News viewer is much dumber than Ailes.

After all, look how they fall in line and vote for McCain, Romney, Newt or whoever Fox News tells them to vote for!

  31. Libra says:

One eyebrow up; the other down. Smirk when someone else makes a point and memorize a storehouse of sophomoric platidudes. It’s easy being a liberal commentator. Ten extra points if you’re a dyke.

  32. James Whale says:

Fox has Moonbats on But Moonbat channels have no competent presenters. What gives?

  33. angryK9 says:

OK. So she’s a lesbo. But what is up with the teabag in her mouth. The term comes from faggy oral sex. So she lets men put their manhood in her piehole?

  34. Bob Roberts says:

I applaud Fox for trying to live up to the “fair and balanced” motto they’ve had for some time.

However, by hiring the total lunatics from the left, they’re not doing it right.

There are a few voices on the left that make sense, at least now and then.

This one isn’t one of them.

But perhaps that’s part of their strategy – to let the leftists they do hire show how outrages they are, what total twisted liars they are.

I don’t know – could that be the case and, if so, is it working?

  35. Bob Roberts says:

Chris says: January 20, 2012 at 5:20 pm

You left out one of the key players: Bob Beckel. He so obviously leans so far hard left, and backs it up routinely with obvious lies and propaganda, that it’s a surprise he can even stand up.

Come to think of it, I’ve never actually seen him standing.

I echo what several have said here – that while Fox did seem to be one place that you could turn to get a reasonable view, from both sides, of critical issues, that is not so true as it was once today due to their obvious drift towards the left.

I don’t get it – they routinely were blowing other outlets out of the water. Why did they change? Haven’t they heard “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”?

  36. Cameraman says:

I quit watching Fox. when Uncle Billy started to defend The One…Can”t stand shep and His “Bears” and I give the Five the Middle finger to Bob Blowhard Beckle!

  37. Sinister66 says:

When were any of these channels “news” channels. Its all commentary and opinion based programs. NOT NEWS. Getting all of you news from these hosts is about as stupid as getting it from internet blogs.

There is no such thing as a “liberal” media or a “conservative” media.”

You might want to point that out to WF Buckley’s National Review or Investor’s Business Daily.

“Unless the media is pro-state and pro-people/corporations dependent on the state, it would have no purpose as a propaganda tool.”

The media as “pro-people/corporations dependent on the state” is practically the definition of liberal media.
And of course, the MSM is, and always has been, a propaganda tool for the left. That is not the conservative media.

Your attempt to blend conservative and liberal media as a ‘pro-state’ monolith was a nice try, but worthless. Such a blending, seems to be what’s going on at Fox News, which I imagine was the light bulb for you.

Worse however, is that after putting a Marxist in the office of the presidency, and supporting him through cover-ups and softball stories for 3 years, you could could be confused about the distinct perniciousness of the liberal MSM in this country.

    But there…fixed it for you.

  39. Canis lupus says:

My Fox viewing made a dramatic decrease one morning when I tuned in to see al sharpton with the morning people. At that moment I turned to the television off and turned on the radio. Been that way ever since.
I understand Fox wanting to show both sides, but if I want to get the libtarded news I can tune to CNN or MSNBC. Just for the record, I dont.

  40. DanSak says:

This is why A.M. radio is doing so well. Every time fox has the likes of Geraldo, Sharpton, or Alan Colmes on, I change the channel. SIMPLE.

When you support bad behavior you get more of it.

  41. Agnostic Conservative says:

So I take it you are against all the banker/war-industry promoted candidates like Obama, Romney, Newt and Santorum then?

After all, the banks/war-industry are as big champions of statism as green-energy-companies/unions.

  42. Fiberal says:

You take it correctly. But not for the reason that you’ve concocted.
Support any one of them against BO? Absolutely.

I would prefer Ronpaul if it weren’t for his assault on the U.S., that if elected he would be unable to serve effectively, and if it weren’t that his supporters all seem to the kind of people who take personal affront at any sudden noise.

  43. grayjohn says:

My tv went bye bye a long time ago. Don’t miss it at all. Fox has been faking it for years. Looks like they are finally dropping the right wing pretense and coming out of the closet.

  48. Ed Stephens says:

What do you expect? The entire media establishment is prepping to hand the chosen one another 4 years of socialism. They’re chomping at the bit to make it rain hard on Mitt, Newt or even Paul, as soon as the last one remains standing. All of corporate America wants another 4 years of quantitative easing, Iranian war and more poverty at home. Keep your guns handy.

  49. Ron T says:

Please get that dyke Sally Kohn off of Fox News. She WILL make me turn it off every time she is on.
Let her go to MSNBC, with the other ugly dykes
