Seattle Targets Single-Family Homes as Enemies of Equity

Social engineers have decreed that there is no place in Utopia for single family homes:

Get rid of single-family zoning in Seattle. That’s the big message in a draft report being worked on by Mayor Ed Murray’s housing committee, obtained by The Seattle Times.

According to a draft letter, the city needs to move away from the idea that all families can live in their own home on a piece of land, the Times reports.

The issue is framed in starkly leftist terms:

The draft letter says that single-family zoning has “roots in racial and class exclusion.[”] The zoning remains “among the largest obstacles to realizing the city’s goals for equity and affordability,” the Times reports.

As Dori Monson of KIRO Radio observes, the American dream of owning your own home is now regarded as “a blow against equity.”

If everyone doesn’t work hard enough to have a family home, then no one should have one.

Plus, stacking us together like sardines makes us more reliant on public transportation, and in general easier to control.

sardines can
Utopian housing advances equity.

Why should anyone bust their ass at their job if the government is just going to take it away in the name of “equality”? No one would. In a “socialist utopia”, production goes down and the party ends up confiscating goods and FOOD, exporting it to disprove rumors of shortages by faking a surplus.

Another thing; during the Great Depression, communist Russia offered thousands of dollars to American farmers, engineers and mechanics if they would come over and show them why AMERICA had been so prosperous. Even during one of the hardest times in history, American freedom was doing far better than socialist pipe dreams.

I’m sure Mayor Ed Murray and everybody on the housing committee that voted for this lives in high-rise apartments. Right?

    1) Take over (other people’s, preferably Republican) neighborhoods by eminent domain.
    2) Tear down houses, build apartment complexes. Contracts awarded to cronies who donated to your re-election campaign.
    3) Declare sanctuary city, bus in blacks, Muslims, and illegals.
    4) Wait for riot(s) and resulting real estate value crash.

    5) Watch real estate values in YOUR neighborhood soar.
    6) Sell house for profit, retire.

Wanting to do it and actually doing it are two entirely different things.

Others have said this was done in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union, probably China as well though home ownership there was never a big thing. The difference here is about 300,000,000 firearms in the hands of the civilian population.

At the point where you start forcing people out of their home and into a housing project because the party leadership has ordained it, the lead poisoning rate goes WAAAAAAAYYYY up.

In the USSR, the standard dwelling was something called a khrushchyovka—cramped, shoddy, ugly apartment buildings named after the man in power at the time they were built, Nikita Khrushchev. Evidently, liberals envision all Americans living in similar structures, because since not everyone can have a nice home then no one should—because, you know, equality. Perhaps the term “Obamova” will soon enter the English language.

He rented it out to professionals at a lower rate than regular Beijing apartments, but had to stop when the authorities went after him because his venture was becoming an embarrassment to them…

The criminal acts began in earnest on November 4 2008, when the election process was utterly corrupted. We got a herd of anti-American radicals bent on destruction of this great nation. Anyone with an IQ slightly above room temperature should have known that, but the educational system is so bad, the low information voter was born and elected an music video image, not a steward of freedom.

The great part of the US is our resiliency, and our ability to take it back. The next election had best see a better outcome or there will be blood in the streets. If it all goes down the toilet, let’s start discussing how we can change things with the 2nd Amendment as our shield. The current admin wields too much power and would squash any attempt to use our right to effect change. A new admin would take time to get up to speed.

I believe in Jefferson’s quote: “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” That time begins in 2017.
