Statue Celebrating V-J Day Defaced

American identity must be erased so that it can be replaced with a new identity grounded in leftist orthodoxy. This means displacing the population — thus our transformative immigration, asylum, and welfare policies. It also means erasing American history, so that liberal utopia can be laid out upon a blank slate. Even our proudest and happiest memories most be eradicated. First, they are labeled as “problematic.” Then they go down the Memory Hole. V-J Day is next up for obliteration:

A day after the sailor seen kissing a woman in a nurse’s uniform in an iconic photo snapped in Times Square died at age 95, a statue in Florida commemorating the couple was vandalized with a “#MeToo” painted in red.

Kissing women constitutes patriarchal oppression according to #MeToo dogma.

Police responded early Tuesday to someone vandalizing the “Unconditional Surrender” statue in Sarasota, where they found the hashtag about sexual assault and harassment painted on the woman’s left leg, according to the Herald-Tribune.

Physical damage is estimated at over $1,000. The damage to our national spirit is hard to put a price on.

George Mendonsa, the jubilant sailor shown kissing white-clad dental assistant Greta Zimmer Friedman at the “Crossroads of the World” on Aug. 14, 1945, died Monday at the age of 95. Friedman died in 2016 at age 92.

We owe it to their generation to preserve what is left of America in hopes that future generations might deserve it.
