Student Suspended for Preventing Self-Mutilation

Every time I read a story about public school zero tolerance policies, I think, “That’s it: the final extreme of insanity. No one could ever top this one.” Then once again moonbat educrats prove me wrong:

Last Thursday at Bayside Middle School [in Virginia Beach, Virginia], sixth grader Adrionna Harris came to the aid of a classmate who was cutting his arm. She faces expulsion for taking a razor from the student, throwing it away and convincing him what he was doing wasn’t right. She thought she was doing the right thing, so on Friday she told the school administration what happened. The way school officials responded led to this question: was the school’s zero tolerance policy taken too far?

Here’s what this has to do with zero tolerance lunacy: by taking away the razor before the troubled kid could cut himself, Adrionna put herself in possession of a weapon, even though she threw it away immediately.

Punishment was swift and severe:

Instead of getting praise from the school administration, Adrionna got a 10 day suspension with recommendation for expulsion. The interesting thing — the only reason Adrionna got suspended was because she admitted what happened. The alleged weapon was thrown away, and it was her word alone that led to her suspension.

The lessons learned at school this day: 1) never take initiative, because the nail that stands up gets hammered down; 2) do not expect authorities to behave rationally, since if they were not lunatics, our present political climate would not allow them to be in charge; 3) in a society run by liars, do not tell the truth; and 4) where a collectivist mentality prevails, you have to focus on No. 1, because attempts to help others challenge the indispensability of authorities and therefore may be punished.

It doesn’t seem Adrionna is a very apt pupil:

We asked Adrionna, if she would do the same thing again, knowing she would get suspended for holding the blade.

“Even if I got in trouble, it didn’t matter because I was helping him … I would do it again even if I got suspended, yes,” she said.

Not even contrite. Double her suspension!

She is suspended because she was holding a weapon but only temporarily, but what about the one who was cutting his arm? He had the weapon first. Has he been suspended too?

The never speak to authorities is a very valuable lesson. Perhaps the best lesson she will take from her otherwise wasted time in a re-education/indoctrination center.

Think how many innocents have been arrested and imprisoned for not having known this.

What is missing from this story is the part where parents – ALL OF THEM, stormed the school seized the administrator who committed this injustice then tarred and feathered them.

These ridiculous “inmates running the asylum” stories will continue until we take that kind of action. You can’t fix stupid but you CAN kick its ass.

This has nothing to do with Zero Tolerance idiocy, nor with hysteria after the Sandy Hook shootings. It is not idiocy. It is deliberate. It is a tactic. Idiocy is just the smoke screen. This is a program to condition, to terrorize, to brainwash our children into fearing and hating guns, patriotism, and Americanism. If the Liberal Vermin can ruin our children, they have won.

Teach your children to trust nothing about the education system. Take the education they give you, but only believe the “hard” stuff like mathematics and physics. Parrot the rest back, but never believe it. Be subtle as snakes. Give nothing back to the system. Whatever you say will be taken down and used against you. Know that the teacher is a cop who wants to destroy you; a tyrant who wants to enslave you, a spy who wants to betray you.

Sorry about that, good teachers, but you have the responsibility to take the schools back. Harangue, harass, and if necessary, terrorize the Liberal Vermin out of the system. Otherwise, you’re part of the problem, too. No prisoners. No quarter.

Good point. There’s way too much “zero tolerance” – teachers and administrators can’t all be that stupid.

The tactic is to turn our children into soft, pliable pansies who won’t go out of their way to help anyone – that’s what the government is for.

Last year or so, a student who gave her inhaler to another student who was having an asthma attack was suspended. You can probably find many other examples.

This is where parents have to fight back. Take the time and effort to find out exactly what’s being taught – especially in history and government classes. And it it’s not right, set it right. Tell your kids the truth.

It even reaches arithmetic classes, where age-old problems are being recast into “politically correct” ones. The problem about 3 boys with this much money going into a candy store, where the prices are given, to find out how much they can buy, is recast into three oppressed third-world boys, working 12-hour days at the shoe factory, and the cruel bosses take out this much and that much of their wages……..

Of course zero tolerance means that any faculty member who confiscates a weapon from a student is immediately fired for being in possession of a weapon, correct? The proper procedure is to call the police and wait 10 mins. to 3 hrs. for the only persons allowed to be armed on campus to arrive and deal with the situation. So what if mayhem ensues in the meantime? Zero tolerance is ZERO tolerance.

(She gotz no clue as to my pol. orientation and I hafta keep it that way.)

I’ve read plenty of stories like this, and it just hit me: This is a very positive thing. It teaches children that all government officials are idiots. Our schools regularly try to teach children that government is their savior, that they need government to protect them from the evil people at Wal-Mart and McDonalds, that if only government planners were put in charge the economy would run smoothly and efficiently, etc etc. But when children see school authorities in action, there is some hope that they will realize that this is a fantasy. Government officials are not simply as fallible as anyone else. Government jobs ATTRACT stupid people. Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach. Those who can’t teach, become administrators or politicians so they can give orders.

This is insanity gone to seed! A caring student prevents a possible suicide and gets accused of having a weapon, the razor blade she confiscated. The politically correct crowd wins again over sensible logic. Preserving life is more important than following the Zero Tolerance plan.
