Tacoma Cheesecake Factory Kicks Out Armed Cops

The next time there is an emergency at the Cheesecake Factory in Tacoma, it will be hard to blame first responders if they don’t give it priority over finishing their coffee break. Officer Miriam Nichols wrote on Facebook:

I am local law enforcement and 5 coworkers and I were told to leave by the general manager, Will, of your Tacoma Mall location, because 3 of us were wearing our badge, gun and were visibly identifiable as on duty law enforcement. We were told the guns are not allowed whether you are law enforcement or not, they are not welcome. Everyone in our party were extremely upset at the lack of support we received at this location. One of our group members informed her husband who immediately contacted the establishment and was eventually routed to Will who told him that corporate has a strict no gun policy and that no person carrying a firearm, to include on duty law enforcement, we’re not welcome to eat there. When we walked in, no one in our group saw any sign that said no firearms allowed.

It is not a matter of Black Lives Matter anarchotyrants hating cops, but rather hoplophobia reaching the level of psychosis. Cheesecake Factory policy does not forbid police to carry their service weapons. The moonbattery was imposed on an ad hoc basis at the local level.

Yet if they ever get held up, management will not hesitate to call for cops to come running with their guns.

Avoid the Tacoma location.

On a tip from Jester.

This shows what happens when fools are put in positions of power; doofuses like “Will” had better hope that criminals will also follow his “no guns allowed” policy.

Don’t worry – when the cheese factory gets raided by armed robbers, the general manager will simply tell them to leave and remind them that guns are not welcome there.
In fact I’m sure that when this little story about the factory’s incident with police officers spreads, any would-be armed thieves will give the factory a wide berth knowing full well that their firearms would not be welcome on the premises.

I also believe it is my duty to spread this story around the criminal underworld so that every potential villain will be forewarned of the perils of raiding this factory and will not even consider going anywhere near it. After all, what’s the point if they can’t use guns?

I blame the Russians. And teachers. And President Bush. And fluoride.

But seriously, has anyone verified this?

Tacoma, WA, 23 DEC 16: Effective immediately ALL calls to Tacoma 911 for police help are being forwarded to the Tacoma Cheesecake Factory. Good Luck, citizens !

  5. Alexander Hamilton says:

Some one who reads this and is on social media should put this out there, let the scum hear about it and the place will be robbed… not to mention, local law abiding citizens will boycott the place…

  6. Pyrran says:

I suspect what the cheesecake manager is doing is not legal.

When they dial 911 and report a armed robbery or a disgruntled employee with a knife or gun and they need someone now, tell them to call corporate and hang up. Might tell employees that due to corporate policy police will not respond to 911 calls for help from this company.

In my first assignment there were two Dunkin Donuts shops. One did not want LEOs there and the other did…we often went in to complete our reports with a cup of coffee. The other one became a common robbery spot while the one we went to had zero problems. Go figure…

first, to all cops everywhere and especially these officers – thank you for serving our communities!

second, to that moron manager – 97% of all mass shootings happen in gun free zones. Enjoy.

I’ve been hitting the flag button too as I come across this jerk spammer.

  12. chuck_in_st_paul says:

I love seeing our cops in uniform or detectives with their badge plainly visible in any place I go. I worry when I’m in a ‘gun free zone’. That’s a free fire area for insane people.

  13. chuck_in_st_paul says:

your second suggestion has the ring of legality to it. The dispatcher can inform the company the cops will dutifully wait outside.

  14. chuck_in_st_paul says:

it’s legal but probably not the true corporate policy, just another cop hater.

  15. bigg_tomm_2000 says:

If I were a criminal, and I’m not, I would be getting ready to rob this place right now because the police are not welcome there. They might try to say it’s not the police they do not like, but do they really expect the police to leave all their weapons in the car?!? So that it can be robbed, then the weapons used by … grrr…

  16. MAS says:

Unless it is illegal and it isn’t here YET, I always CCW in these places…if I want to give them my business in the first place that is. The worst they can do (if I slip up and the Glock shows) is wet themselves and ask you to leave.

  17. Take The Red Pill says:

You’re using “common sense” and “logic”, which Leftie moonbats refuse to use or acknowledge; only their agenda matters.

  18. Take The Red Pill says:

(Along the same thought) I wonder how many robberies there are in gun stores?

  19. Razed2017 says:

The manager is Will Nelson, the GM from Portland. They are anti gun in that liberal bubble.

  20. Razed2016 says:

Know “Will”, he’s the GM from Portland. You can research it.

  21. MAS says:

There have been several…several very short ones. 😉
