Teacher to Counter Christmas With Satanic Display in Boca Raton

We must be getting close to the endgame. The moonbats who dominate education are becoming forthright about their agenda. From Florida:

Boca Raton is going to let a teacher put up a 6-foot-tall pentagram, painted blood red, with a wooden image of the holy [sic] symbol of Satan in the middle of it.

The teacher is Preston Smith of Boca Raton Community Middle School, a public school.

City officials say they have to allow his deliberately offensive display or get sued.

It will be in Boca Raton’s Sanborn Square, on Federal Highway, just in time for the holidays.

A giant metal pentagram, weighing 300 pounds, with the captions: “In Satan We Trust,” “One Nation under Antichrist” and “May the Children Hail Satan.” Smith refers to himself as an Atheistic Satanist in the application he submitted to the city.

In case no one notices this eye gouge,

Along with the pentagram the teacher also intends to put up a “Freedom from Religion Nativity Scene” that stresses there can be no religious freedom without the freedom to dissent.

Last December, the same teacher erected a metal pentagram in the same park where churches set up a traditional nativity scene with the Baby Jesus in a manger and the Virgin Mary.

His trolling has been getting the desired effect:

Smith says he’s never experienced this level of hatred from supposedly religious folks who preach love, tolerance and acceptance.

Punch someone in the nose, and if they don’t like it, denounce them as intolerant. The strategy works great when you can call in armies of pro bono lawyers from the ACLU, Freedom From Religion Foundation, etc. to back you up whenever you need them.

Why are people like this teaching children?

Smith may not literally believe in Satan, but the evil Satan represents is undeniably real, as last night’s massacre in Las Vegas reminds us.

On a tip from Torcer.

If he’s an atheist, don’t they have a symbol? The atomic whirl or something like that. Just put that up if he is sincere. The satanist thing is just a deliberate insult to a particular group, as the article discusses. I thought insults to a particular religious group were supposed to bad. Right? Guess not.

She made the mistake of posting it. If she said it in an internal meeting, they would have all agreed that the “hicks” had it coming.

The people of Boca Raton have the school board for which they voted. They can, one by one, replace those trustees as their terms expire, and elect trustees with character and courage.
Or they can stay home and write whiny notes to MOONBATTERY.

I may be mistaken about this but I have heard that the schoolboards have little power. The teacher unions protect scum like this, the state sets the standards and decides on the curriculum, the federal government has its requirements, and the courts impose their limits.
If I am mistaken please feel free to refute me.
