Tech Giants Work with Hate Group Southern Poverty Law Center to Suppress “Hate”

It would be hard to imagine heavier irony — or more convincing proof of the hard-left bias of the Internet establishment. Silicon Valley information gatekeepers Google, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as Amazon, all work with the hate group Southern Poverty Law Center to suppress alleged “hate.”

Amazon may be the worst of them in terms of allowing the malevolent SPLC to dictate policy:

Jeff Bezos’ company grants the SPLC broad policing power over the Amazon Smile charitable program, while claiming to remain unbiased. …

Only one participant in the program, the SPLC, gets to determine which other groups are allowed to join it.

Consequently,

Christian legal groups like the Alliance Defending Freedom — which recently successfully represented a Christian baker at the Supreme Court — are barred from the Amazon Smile program, while openly anti-Semitic groups remain, TheDCNF found in May.

This is to be expected with the SPLC, which labels people and groups it hates as “haters” to marginalize them. Examples include British Muslim reformer Maajid Nawaz and human rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali, both of whom made the SPLC’s “anti-Muslim extremist” list.

Ali criticized Apple CEO Tim Cook in August 2017 for donating to the SPLC, which she described as “an organization that has lost its way, smearing people who are fighting for liberty and turning a blind eye to an ideology and political movement that has much in common with Nazism.”

Ben Carson has also been listed as an extremist by the SPLC.

“When embracing traditional Christian values is equated to hatred, we are approaching the stage where wrong is called right and right is called wrong. It is important for us to once again advocate true tolerance,” Carson said in response.

The hatred generated by SPLC has led to actual violence, as in the case of Floyd Lee Corkins, who shot security guard Leo Johnson during a botched shooting spree at the offices of the Family Research Center. Corkins acknowledged that he targeted the FRC because SPLC listed it on a “Hate Map.”

The Internet establishment could not have found a heavier thumb to place on the scales than the SPLC. To say conservatives do not get a fair shake on the Internet would be putting it mildly.
