The Global Warming Hypocrisy Aristocracy

Prince Harry and his feeble-minded papa are not the only examples of staggering global warming hypocrisy in the royalty. They join our own entertainment and Silicon Valley aristocracies in pushing the motto Do As I Say Not As I Do straight over the top. The sanctimonious artificiality of this entire class just reached peak insufferableness at a posh Italian resort where the environmentally woke elite gathered to congratulate each other for wanting to save the Earth from us little people.

The billionaire creators of Google have invited a who’s who of A-list names— including former President Barack Obama, Prince Harry, Leonardo DiCaprio and Katy Perry — to the Sicilian seaside for a mega-party they’ve dubbed Google Camp.

The three-day event will focus on fighting climate change — though it’s unknown how much time the attendees will spend discussing their own effect on the environment, such as the scores of private jets they arrived in and the mega yachts many have been staying on.

DiCaprio, infamous for having a carbon footprint that dwarfs even Al Gore’s, has called for “governments around the world taking decisive, large-scale action” to lower our standard of living so that we don’t emit so much carbon. He and Obama have already been noted as two of the most irritating globetrotting global warmists, given the vast gulf between their rhetoric and their regal mode of travel. They have plenty of competition:

The Post crunched the numbers and found that 114 first class seats from Los Angeles to Palermo, Italy, where Camp guests landed, would spew an estimated 784,000 kilograms of CO2 into the air.

Meanwhile, we are told we should ride bicycles to work through the rain lest our humble emissions offend the climate.

Stars there also include Harry Styles, Orlando Bloom, Diane von Furstenberg and Barry Diller, who arrived on their enormous $200 million yacht Eos, which has both sails and two 2,300-horsepower diesel engines.

Billionaire Dreamworks founder David Geffen, meanwhile, gave Perry and Bloom a ride on his $400 million yacht, Rising Sun.

Jets and yachts are not their only means of massively emitting the CO2 that will allegedly doom the planet.

Many of the attendees were seen in photos tooling around the island in high-speed sports vehicles, including Perry, who has made videos for UNICEF about climate change and was seen in a Maserati SUV that gets about 15 mpg city.

Astonishingly exorbitant as it may be, the hypocrisy of these people should come as no surprise. Phoniness is their business. Posturing emptily is how they made their fortunes.

We should thank them for reminding us that even the most ostentatious advocates of the global warming hoax don’t actually believe in it.
