The View Analyzes North Korea

Let’s see how the mentally retarded leftist harridans of ABC’s The View analyze the situation in North Korea in light of Kim Jong Il’s timely death. This clip features the erudite Whoopi Goldberg’s assertion that communism — i.e., universal enslavement — is a “great concept” that “makes perfect sense.”

I suspected as much — the failure of the Stalinists running North Korea to be nice is George W. Bush’s fault.

The problem with democracy is that there are people who watch this program and vote.

On a tip from G. Fox.

At least she mentions that it is a great concept but once the leader gets involved things change. And that she is waiting to see what happens. Let’s hope the military allows him to try to modernize the country and allow the citizens to improve their lives.

  2. Wilberforce says:

How is mandatory, coercive totalitarianism a “great concept”? I think Elvis had it right; shoot your TV, it’s a wasteland.

  3. Wilberforce says:

By the way, “The problem with democracy is that there are people who watch this program and vote.”

Frightening just listening to these hen-house hens squawk on and on about dictators, world politics and nuclear weapons….

The whole feminism thing really hasn’t done society as a whole many favors. Wouldn’t we be better off with Whoopie in the kitchen/crackhouse? And the rest of The View “hosts” would be so much more interesting with their “clever” opines if the “rule of thumb” was still in effect? A stick the width of a thumb whacking these dingbats every time they opened their mouths would be wonderful. So, maybe the Muslims are right!

  5. Stephan the Original says:

I feel my IQ just dropped for having watched that. It seems to me almost every time I see a clip from ordinary TV on the web it absolutely confirms my decision years ago to stop watching it, all of it.

to Whoopie, if communism is such a great concept on paper, maybe you should try looking at some papers that tell us of the history of communism. But history on paper is probably just irrelevant old stuff to enlightened folks such as yourself.

  6. Mr. X. says:

Gawd, it’s like listening into a high school cafeteria lunch table conversation. Whoopi, I just got a note from the folks at the OED. Please stop making up words. Bill Spooner did it intentionally, you do it because of your synaptic speed limit.

Communism has only killed about a million people

    let’s give it another chance

  8. PabloD says:

Joy Behar thinks that JFK’s response to the Cuban Missile Crisis constituted “behind the scenes” diplomacy? I don’t think the Naval blockade was subtle; it was a line in the sand (water) that said “cross this, Krushchev, and we’ll be sending nukes your way.”

  9. Fiberal says:

Whoopi echos the general liberal mentality and creed – from both ends of her foul carcass.

  10. James McEnanly says:

There are none so blind as those who will not see. Even with a 391 year record of failure, these people still think that if the ‘right’ people were to run it, socialism might work.

  11. Gaye Ellis says:

I just have to keep defending Whoopi – what she said is Communism is a great idea – ON PAPER – it is when you have real human beings involved that it goes to hell.

  12. Henry says:

“Which is a wonderful thing about diplomacy behind the scenes. Which is the way we’re supposed to be dealing with things in the world.”

Being that stupid should be painful.

“Kim Jong Yum Yum…” Well, it’s not racist racist…

Can I have my 5 minutes back?

  13. bee says:

Joy Behar-har-har…the fact that NorKor needs massive infusions of food aid should tell you all you need to know about Communism.

  14. Jimbo says:

It hasn’t been that many years ago that it was not only acceptable but commendable to voice the opinion that a good communist is a dead communist. Dead, deader, deadest.

Communists remain the greatest murderers, liars, and thieves the world has ever known – but now it’s “hate speech” to wish the little red bastards ill will.

Screw it. I wish all communists dead, deader, deadest. Whoopie-shit’s opinion holds as much weight as a square of pee-soaked toilet paper.

  15. EnergyEngineer says:

“Communism has only killed about a million people

You are being far too generous communism has killed far more people than just a million.

  16. batman says:

100 million people lost their lives in the last century for communism.

Actually one could Google “democide” to find some accurate numbers.

    Let’s add em up, eh?
    Stalin…50 million
    Mao……70 million
Pol Pot…2 million (out of a population of 6 million).

What Whoopi doesn’t understand is that communism is just another form of slavery where the government tells everyone what to do. Enjoy your chains.

  19. LarryG says:

“Marxism, Socialism, or Communism in practice are nothing but state-capitalism and rule by a privileged minority, exercising despotic and total control over a majority having virtually no property or legal rights. As is discussed elsewhere herein, Talmudic Judaism is the progenitor of modem Communism and Marxist collectivism as it is now applied to a billion or more of the world’s population.”

  20. Laobag says:

I just have to keep defending Whoopi – what she said is Communism is a great idea – ON PAPER – it is when you have real human beings involved that it goes to hell.

Puddle deep comes to mind. She never explains what the great idea about commnunism is? Just saying the words doesn’t make it so. Care to expand on the “great idea?” If not, then your defense is pretty thin gruel.

  21. rockman says:

Anyone who wants to see how communism plays out “on Paper” should read “Harvest of Sorrow” by Robert Conquest.
It’s about the Soviet collectivization of agriculture during the 30s and the subsequent MAN MADE FAMINE that ensued. I’ll bet Whoopi never read it.

  22. Sam Adams says:

Sorry, LarryG, but there is no such thing as “state-capitalism” Capitalism is, by definition, economic freedom, specifically, the ability to do with your time, money and property as you see fit.

Governments have no money or labor to invest. Everything that they have is a result of taking from the private sector. Therefore, “state-capitalism” is a contradiction in terms.

  23. beforethestorm says:

Not one of this bunch is a deep thinker, as far as I can tell. Their coming to this conclusion doesn’t surprise me in the least. What DOES surprise me is that enough people watch this drivel to keep the show on the air.

  24. notPropertyOfTheState says:

Communism is a “great idea” for ants. We ain’t ants…

  25. geofraz says:

I hate The View, but the intro to this post isn’t fair.
Goldberg doesn’t say communism is good. She said it SEEMS good, until its put into practice.

How can any intelligent and fair minded person try to disparage that statement?

You guys dropped the ball on this one!

  26. geofraz says:

@Laobag says ~ ” She never explains what the great idea about commnunism is?”

The concept of no one being denied basic needs. The concept of no one being second class or third world. The concept of all for one, one for all.

But the concept is SHIT in reality! It doesn’t work that way and we all know it. But that is what Goldberg said.

She can’t help being an old hippie who still wishes it to be so. But at least she knows it aint, unlike some people.
