Treasonous Terrorist Bill Ayers Says He Served Honorably

If moonbats have any positive qualities, self-awareness is not among them. Obama friend and mentor Bill Ayers tweeted the following during a Twitter war with a vet:

Ayers, honorable? Ben Shapiro provides some background for those who have already managed to blot out all memory of the Obama and hippy eras, during which Ayers was well known:

Ayers, who has been lauded by Leftists including Barack Obama for decades, was in fact a terrorist. He was one of the founders of the Weather Underground, and participated in the bombings of the New York City Police Department headquarters, the U.S. Capitol, and the Pentagon. The group’s ideology: “Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home. Kill your parents.” Three of his friends were killed when a bomb Ayers designed went off during its production. That bomb, as Andy McCarthy points out, had been designed to murder U.S. soldiers. In 2001, Ayers stated, “I don’t regret setting bombs” and added, “I feel we didn’t do enough.”

That quote came out in the New York Times on September 11, a big day for his fellow anti-American terrorists.

Few could be less honorable than Bill Ayers. Yet he is accepted on the Left. Before retiring, he held the titles Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar at the University of Illinois. Liberals have defined deviancy downward to the point where absolutely anything goes — except of course deviating from liberal ideology.

You can imagine the defense from Ayers’ brethren in academia. Who is to say who is honorable? One person’s treasonous terrorist is another’s hero, because there is no absolute truth other than political correctness. Who could be more politically correct than the communist who launched the political career of Barack Obama from his apartment?

The concept of honor is not entirely subjective. If it were, it would have no meaning. Ayers referring to himself as honorable isn’t just delusional self-aggrandizement; it is an attack on the very concept of honor.
