Trying to Stop Global Warming Costs 50 Times More Than Adapting to It

There is going to be climate change. There always has been and there always will be. Nothing anyone can do will stop it. But let’s pretend just for argument that temperatures are still rising like they did last century, that warmer temperatures are bad, and that they are caused by CO2 emissions, which to a small degree humans can control. What would be the reasonable course of action? The answer is easy when you consider that attempting to stop climate change costs 50 times more than adapting to it if and as it happens:

No wonder Australia threw Labor out of power to get rid of their climate change scheme, and Obama is imposing his own extra-constitutionally through the EPA. The supposed climate crisis is about greedy bureaucrats and the stealth imposition of a Soviet-style economy. It has nothing to do with the weather.

  1. Mr. Mentalo says:

The seas will rise some, and recede some. Always have a little. Nothing will change that. Just because we’re stupid enough to build right on the oceanfront and expect nothing to change isn’t the fault of nature or global warming or anything but our own ignorance and conceit.

Note to warmists: things thrive when it’s warm and die when it’s cold.

If it’s too hot “here”, then move to “there”. If things really DO warm up a couple degrees…not likely…guess what? You’ll have millions of acres of new farmland in the Yukon and Siberia and the Scandinavian countries. You’ll have wonderful resorts in places that are frozen tundra now. You’ll have rainforests at higher latitudes. Things change, and no amount of extra tax will stop them.

    But you already knew that.

Globull Warming is the 21st Century of an invisible “angry god” demanding a blood sacrifice. The rulers use it to keep everyone in line out of fear of that invisible angry god.

“Global warming” has never been about saving the environment. It’s about criminal thug politicians taxing free people to death for their own gain. It’s as simple as that. Too bad most people in today’s world are too uneducated and uninformed to know that.
