Under Dodd-Frank, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Can Now Close Any Business at Any Time for Any Reason

“It’s a free country,” people used to say. Only the clueless say it anymore. Katie Pavlich reports on yet another reason why:

Last week the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, through the power of Dodd-Frank, passed a rule giving the agency unprecedented power to shut down businesses, no matter what the reason, at any time it wishes through a cease-and-desist order. Further, the rule puts businesses at the mercy of the CFPB and they cannot go back into operation until government approval or a court ruling is made over an issue. Subsequently because bureaucratic decisions and court rulings take a substantial amount of time to happen, businesses cannot survive during those waiting periods.

She points the way to the most obvious immediate application of this tyrannical new power:

The new rule comes on the heels of revelations the Department of Justice has been smothering firearms dealerships and other “high risk” entities out of business by “choking” banks and stripping funding through Operation Choke Point.

Read more on Operation Choke Point here.

Whereas Democrats are trying to repeal the First Amendment by amending the Constitution, their approach to the Second Amendment is more insidious. Because they want to keep the body count low (at least on their side), the plan is to disarm us incrementally by making it impossible for the free market to supply us with firearms.

America will not be free again before the monstrous Dodd-Frank has been repealed.

What else would you expect of a bill named after these reprobates?

Barney Fwank is a disgusting human being – inside and out. In homo circles, without cash and goodies, he’d be shunned. Lucky for him, he can be some twink’s sugar daddy. Yuck.

Gee, I don’t see any potential for businesses to be targeted because of, say, their religious faith. I can’t imagine, say, a bakery being shut down simply because they wouldn’t bake a pro-homosexual wedding cake……..right?

I love it that progressives still talk about things like that in the light of “Oh, it’s all about equality and fairness, etc…” No, ALL of this is about power and control and hatred and a Gestapo-style police state running every aspect of your lives.

You will go where they say.

You will work where they say.

You will eat what they say.

You will read what they say.

You will use as much energy as they say.

You will die when they say.

    Period.

They are playing for keeps. They are not kidding. They mean us harm. They will never willingly stop or relinquish power. Never.

And it will be said of us that we responded how…?

I guess it going to come down to the use of force because I know of no one that would shudder their business because some bureaucrat says so. I would think there are people out there who will resist this tyranny. Will we ever wake up? Have the people finally been sufficiently brainwashed that they can now do as they please?

I love it when Federal bureaucracies can give themselves new powers at the stroke of a pen without Congress passing a law authorizing it. Why do we even bother electing people to Congress?

Pretty tough to stay in operation without a bank to do business with. Most businesses finance their inventory. Plus, how are you going to pay your employees and pay your taxes without a bank account?

Like he said, “I guess it going to come down to the use of force”.

You CAN’T conduct business under those conditions so you use FORCE to stop the tyranny. That is the only way left to stop these scum now. I refer you to LA. Gov. Bobby Jindal’s comments today on the brewing rebellion.

There is a word for those who “mean us harm”. It is “enemy”.

Many sheep bleat that the use of force only plays into the enemies hands as it will serve as an excuse to declare martial law. The ignorance of this belief is unfathomable as that is what they are doing anyway, the only difference is whether they declare martial law over years or over night. The cowards who believe this are only playing for time as they hope to put the enslavement off until after their lifetime. They seek only to pass the problem on to their children, these people are despicable.

The sooner the citizens of this country push back, HARD, the sooner this comes to a head and is over. Allowing the enemy government to complete its plans for tyranny serves only to increase the body count when that fight inevitably arrives and decreases the likelihood that freedom will prevail.

Those who only want to hide from reality are casualties, nothing more. The rest of us are living among the dead already because we recognize that fact. Maybe ther should be a new TV show, The Walking KIA.
