Union Demands Bereavement Leave for Dead Pets

No matter how much they take, they will always demand more. This applies to any left-leaning entity, not just insatiably greedy bureaucrats — unions, for example:

Bereavement leave on the death of pets is among outrageous union demands mining bosses say are putting jobs at risk.

Mining giant Rio Tinto says unions are using unreasonable claims to drag out negotiations on employment deals at its mines, costing the resources industry time and money.

Rio Tinto Australia managing director Phil Edmands said other ambit claims put to the company include complaints that seats in portable huts used for meal breaks at mines do not have cushions and calls for an extra 7½ days’ annual holidays.

Coming soon: bereavement leave for those whose favorite sports team lost the day before.

Maybe it doesn’t matter that when liberals finish consolidating their power, practically no one will have a job. Practically no one would do any work anyway.

We’ve always had greedy unions here in Oz. These types of requests are merely gambits that are tacked on to a list of demands so that when they ‘concede’ certain things on that list to the company during negotiations whats left supposedly looks more reasonable. I’ve never had much time for unions they often do stupid petty things.
I worked as an electrician for one of Ozs largest commercial brewers and we once went on strike because the cleaners put pink toilet paper in the mens toilet. Sheesh it all ends up the same colour!

Paving the way for the day when people can marry pets. Bereavement leave will already be on the books.

Ha! I’ve always said the same thing-the Left will allow one to marry anyone or anything over the course of time the way they’re going. Total chaos brought to us by the Anarchist, er, Democrat party as controlled by the far Left.

Sadly, I know many conservatives who would also support this. IMO, people are too nuts over pets these days. Dogs are basically equal to children now in our society.

Fucking assholes. Trivializing a miner’s grief when 274 of his fellow workers were killed by management incompetence and their corpses are being carried out past him

I don’t think you pussies could ever handle a shift down a mine. Even if your mommy was there to hold your hands.
