United Nations Bans Song for Criticizing Tyrants

The United Nations will tolerate many things (child rape, corruption, socialist thuggery, scientific fraud, Islamofascism, over the top demagoguery, etc.), but criticizing tyrants goes over the line:

The dreams of dozens of Norwegian girls ended in disenchantment on Saturday when organizers axed part of their show at the UN General Assembly in New York, citing concerns over lyrics listing some of history’s worst tyrants.

The 46 members of the Norwegian Girls Choir had long looked forward to performing their song about war and peace at the General Assembly Hall, newspaper Aftenposten reports.

But the girls, aged 12 to 19, never got to realize their ambition after the organizers of the Rhythms of One World Festival took fright on hearing the choir sound-check.

As conductor Anne Karin Sundal-Ask worked out some of the details for the stage show with a lighting technician, the choir shrieked out the names of infamous tyrants from Hitler and Mussolini to Quisling, Stalin, Lenin, Castro, Tito, Maria Antoinette and Papa Doc.

“The mood changed quickly at that point and they wanted a list of all the names,” Sundal Ask told the newspaper.

The choir leader said she was willing to compromise and remove some of the names but the organizers at the Friendship Ambassadors Foundation eventually told her the girls were not going to be allowed to perform the piece.

The award-winning song has been performed all over the world. Gasps composer Maja Ratkje,

“As far as I’m aware, this is the first time my art has been censored.”

If you want your music to be performed at the UN, be sure to limit criticisms to rhetorical rotten tomatoes hurled at the USA and Israel.

Stifled for being insensitive to brutal dictators.

All they had to do is take the names “Hitler and Mussolini to Quisling, Stalin, Lenin, Castro, Tito, Maria Antoinette and Papa Doc” out and used Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld.

If that had happened, they would have received the longest standing ovation in United Nations history!

Not so much in tune with the new world order are ya.
You’ll have plenty of time to groupthink about it.
Say 25 years for not recognizing the greatness of those brave men?

So we are allowing other countries to dictate what can be said on American soil? When did freedom of speech get removed from our Constitution? We truly are a country going to hell.

    Singing Revolution

The Singing Revolution is a commonly used name for events between 1987 and 1991 that led to the restoration of the independence of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The term was coined by an Estonian activist and artist, Heinz Valk, in an article published a week after the June 10–11, 1988, spontaneous mass night-singing demonstrations at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds

Have you noticed how many top Republicans are coming out to protect Hitlary Clinton’s top aide, Huma Abedin, (a.k.a. Mrs. Anthony (look at mine) Weiner) uncluding the weakling crybaby John Boener, and the progressive RINO, Juan McCain? Could it be these losers have no problem with top US secrets finding their way to radical Islamists?

And what of the broken-down old hag Sec. of State, Hitlary Clinton. Is she aware of the possible spy sitting next to her? Is she aware of anything other than who Bubba is sleeping with? America is rotting from within while the sheeple sleep.

Rep. Michele Bachmann is finding out that truth and a love of country are not allowed in DC. This is more proof that the Republican party should be done away with and replaced.

A person isn’t a spy if her boss knows who she is and what her purpose is. Leftists believe they can use Muslims; Muslims are usint leftists.

BTW, Radical Islamists need only subscribe to the NY Times for all the secrets they need. (Except for maybe who Obama will bomb next).

Are we not yet tired of saying (and proving) how irrelevant, and even dangerous, the UN is, especially to America? Exactly what function does this nest of spies and thieves perform other than draining us of tens-of-Billions of our hard-earned money? Is the world right in seeing America as the worlds biggest joke? I fear they are.

The performance should have gone like this:

    (Note on piano)
    CHOIR: “Ahhh”.
CHOIRMASTER: “That concludes our performance of NON-OFFENCIVE songs. Thank you.”

Well just think how embarrassing it would have been for UN members to hear their names belted out in this song, there would have been red faces some nervous coughing tugging at ones collar as if it was suddenly choking them. Eyes and heads turning side to side to see if anyone is looking at them and questions asking if it seems very hot in here or is it just me.

That Norwegian Girls’ Choir doesn’t look very multicultural to me! In fact it looks pretty RACIST!!! Look at all the white privilege. Where are all the wonderful, diverse Musloids that Norway has been importing by the millions??
