US Soon to Go to War With Syria Over Previously Nonexistent WMDs

It looks like our Nobel Peace Prize Laureate in Chief is now going to turn the US military on Syria, in hopes of dislodging the government, which would then be replaced by Islamist radicals affiliated with al Qaeda. The pretext is Bashar Assad’s alleged use of chemical weapons. Where do you suppose he got them? Here’s a strong possibility:

As intelligence prior to the invasion of Iraq indicated that Saddam’s Iraq had sarin gas and amidst large speculation that such weapons were moved to Syria, the use of sarin gas in Syria might prove to vindicate the Bush Administration’s assertions that WMDs were, in fact, in Iraq.

In January, 2006, former Iraqi general, Georges Sada publicly declared that Saddam’s military transferred large stockpiles of chemical weapons to Syria using civilian aircraft with the passenger seats removed. “There are weapons of mass destruction gone out from Iraq to Syria, and they must be found and returned to safe hands,’ Mr. Sada said. ‘I am confident they were taken over.’”

Sada, Hussein’s number 2 in the Iraqi Air Force, claims that 56 trips by two Iraqi Airways Boeings were used to smuggle the weapons into Syria under the guise of civilian flights. “Saddam realized, this time, the Americans are coming,” Sada said. “They handed over the weapons of mass destruction to the Syrians.”

In March, retired Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney spoke publicly about the likelihood of WMDs in Syria and the high probability that the weapons were moved to Syria immediately prior to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

For years we were told these weapons never existed. Now we are told we have to attack another country because of them.

Obama is Bush without the redeeming qualities. That formerly peace-loving liberals continue to support him confirms that nothing they say can be taken at face value.

  11. J.S. says:

Then there was their pseudo outrage about “Bush Lied!” Yet utter silence given Obama’s on-going, egregious pathological lying. And I don’t believe Obama, the psychopath, cares a fig about the sarin gas victims — his sole interest is in ensuring the ascendency of the Muslim Brotherhood and other terrorist groups who despise the United States.

  20. Jodie says:

Obviously, our country is being led by the enemy. Obama wants the Muslim Brotherhood to take control of Syria, as they have in many other Arab countries.

Not to worry though! I’m actually glad to see that God will be vindicated and his Word shown to be true once again:

    17 A prophecy against Damascus:

“See, Damascus will no longer be a city
but will become a heap of ruins.
2 The cities of Aroer will be deserted
and left to flocks, which will lie down,
with no one to make them afraid.
3 The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim,
    and royal power from Damascus;
the remnant of Aram will be
like the glory of the Israelites,”
    declares the Lord Almighty.

    4 “In that day the glory of Jacob will fade;
the fat of his body will waste away.
5 It will be as when reapers harvest the standing grain,
gathering the grain in their arms—
as when someone gleans heads of grain
    in the Valley of Rephaim.
6 Yet some gleanings will remain,
as when an olive tree is beaten,
leaving two or three olives on the topmost branches,
four or five on the fruitful boughs,”
declares the Lord, the God of Israel.

7 In that day people will look to their Maker
and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel.
8 They will not look to the altars,
    the work of their hands,
and they will have no regard for the Asherah poles[a]
and the incense altars their fingers have made.

9 In that day their strong cities, which they left because of the Israelites, will be like places abandoned to thickets and undergrowth. And all will be desolation.

    10 You have forgotten God your Savior;
you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress.
Therefore, though you set out the finest plants
    and plant imported vines,
11 though on the day you set them out, you make them grow,
and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud,
yet the harvest will be as nothing
in the day of disease and incurable pain.

12 Woe to the many nations that rage—
they rage like the raging sea!
Woe to the peoples who roar—
they roar like the roaring of great waters!
13 Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters,
when he rebukes them they flee far away,
driven before the wind like chaff on the hills,
    like tumbleweed before a gale.
14 In the evening, sudden terror!
Before the morning, they are gone!
This is the portion of those who loot us,
the lot of those who plunder us.

  24. Rotohammer says:

This is the part where Kerry is for the use of military force. Then when it goes badly, he’ll be against it.

The Clintons, Kerry, and Ted Kennedy were all wringing their hands at one time or another about Iraq having WMD, and after we invaded (with their consent), suddenly they knew all along there were no WMD.

  25. KHarn says:

I hate this “world’s policeman” horseshit.

So the ONEderchild is expanding the muslim war AGAIN? How are we supposed to fight THIS battle? With the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan who are getting shell-shocked by endless tour of duty as moving targets? (Not an accident, I believe) Or shall we send the “FAIRY FORTY-FOURTH” or the “NINTH BUTT-RANGER BATALLION”? The neo-commies have screwed up the military real good, but now that they need them for THEIR causes, they are not worth shit!

And I don’t want to hear any unit loyalty from my fellow veterans, you know damn well that it’s true.

  26. Laurie says:

“that peace-loving liberals continue to support him confirms that nothing they say can be taken at face value.”

When did you ever take anything that liberals say at face value? The safest route to take with liberals is to assume they’re ALWAYS lying. Then act accordingly.

  29. Ummah Gummah says:

@ Kevin R.: I have a feeling Dave’s got the hammer out already.. and thanks for the Thumbs Up, btw. Maybe Dave will implement +/- votes someday. SOON.

    And, btw..
I hear Sean Penn is flying down to Damascus to visit Assad and demonstrate his support live on TV.

  31. Schiachperchten says:

How’s the hammer work? Ban the DNS? Invite only? How do you hammer on an open internet page?

  32. Ummah Gummah says:

Other trolls have found out. And if u keep it up I suspect so will u.

  33. Oh Really? says:

Who bans the IP address? The ISP? Web page hoster? What if they get on a proxy or hijack the neighbor’s wifi then what? You could always ban the entire DNS but then everyone else on that DNS is banned too.

  34. Dave Blount says:

    daPenguin, Ummah Gummah,
Regarding putting in a voting system for comments, I hesitate to do it because I don’t want things any more complicated than they are already, considering that people have complained about the page loading slowly and comments mysteriously disappearing and reappearing. I’ll give it some more thought though.

“Make it so only republicans can comment that way no other viewpoints will get through.”

Dave has always allowed opinions from all sides. No one could honestly accuse him of allowing only republican comments.

The only trolls he has ever banned are the hairy green ones with the thick disgusting fingernails and small patches of hair on their foreheads and ears, like you.

  41. Ummah Gummah says:

I had no idea I was a Republican until the troll tried to lump me in that bag.

  42. Ummah Gummah says:

War mongering libs might want to have a look at this:

It’s on the record and should be spread and posted all over to makes sure that Obama doesn’t succeed in blaming Assad for the atrocities committed by his moslem brotherhood allies.

  43. Jeff says:

Walid Shoebat makes the case that the rebels used chemical weapons. Where did they get them? Seized from the Syrians?

  44. Ummah Gummah says:

u really playing stupid here, “Jeff”? They could have gotten these weapons from any number of sources, theft being just one. Turkey for one, has a strong interest in drawing in the United States..

  45. sTevo says:

Most armchair analyst would say this is where the weapons went. Yet, we hear the MFM saying day and night “BushHitler, where are the weapons?”

  47. Xavier says:

I lol’d when I read the Fox headline this morning:

US Inches Toward Decision on Syria

    “Inches toward decision”?

Come on, Fox. The US orchestrated a Syrian Reichstag moment from the instant Barry said the red line was Assad using chemical weapons or when his chemical weapons’ security was threatened by the rebels. Assad must fall and the MB placed in charge so Syria and Iran (but I repeat myself) can move on Southern Europe to establish The Caliphate.

As to the origin of the chemical weapons: yes, it’s interesting to wonder where they came from, and Libya should be on your potential supplier list too. They may well have been supplied by Saddam and transferred to Syria prior to the invasion, as his ministers claimed.

But as far as US/NATO involvement go, it doesn’t matter where they came from or which side used them. Either way, Assad is blamed. Either way, Barry gets what he wants: another crisis to exploit, another distraction from domestic issues, and another way to assist the MB gain more power.

    Inches Toward Decision. LOL.
