Venezuela to Require Fingerprinting to Buy Food

Venezuela collapsed into socialism with the rise of Hugo Chavez to power in February 1999. America didn’t follow until January 2009. Consequently, Venezuela is a decade ahead of us on the road to Hope & Change, and has already addressed some of the problems that face us or will face us soon as we are fundamentally transformed into having to subsist under a collectivist, coercion-based economy. For example, how do you prevent people from hoarding, given that coercion can never produce the abundance that liberty does? The answer of course is more coercion:

Venezuelans could soon have to scan their fingerprints to buy bread.

President Nicolas Maduro says a mandatory fingerprinting system is being implemented at grocery stores to combat food shortages by keeping people from buying too much of a single item.

Here’s why a nation that is floating on oil needs to ration food:

Rigid currency controls and a shortage of U.S. dollars have made it increasingly difficult for Venezuelans to find imported products. Price controls don’t help either, with producers complaining that some goods are priced too low to make a profit and justify production.

You could almost get the impression that being allowed to make a profit is a good thing. But our socialist overlords know better, just like in Venezuela.

so Venezuela did it wrong… They should have passed a law making it illegal to reduce or stop production of things you’re not allowed to sell at a profit…
And at the same time make a law that makes it illegal to lay off staff for any reason whatsoever.

That will teach the filthy rich industrialist capitalist bourgeois swine!
