Replacing the American way with traditional class-based Marxism was never going to work out, because the working class has it too good where free-market capitalism prevails. Who wants to exchange freedom and a solid middle-class lifestyle for tyranny and slavery? Only lunatics do, which is why neo-Marxism relies on the ideology of the college faculty lounge.

This ideology was imported from Europe by the Frankfurt School, which featured cultural vandals like Herbert Marcuse. Some call it cultural Marxism. Dinesh D’Souza calls it identity socialism:

The cancer incubated on college campuses has now metastasized throughout society to become the official ideology of the establishment. Those who challenge it are canceled, in accordance with Marcuse’s concept of “repressive tolerance.”
