White House Discards FOIA Requirements for Office of Administration

More opacity from the self-proclaimed most transparent administration ever:

The White House is removing a federal regulation that subjects its Office of Administration to the Freedom of Information Act…

The White House said the cleanup of FOIA regulations is consistent with court rulings that hold that the office is not subject to the transparency law. The office handles, among other things, White House record-keeping duties like the archiving of e-mails.

Just to rub it in our faces a little harder, the announcement was made on National Freedom of Information Day.

It’s also Sunshine Week, an effort by news organizations and watchdog groups to highlight issues of government transparency.

But don’t worry…

White House spokeswoman Brandi Hoffine said the administration remains committed “to work towards unprecedented openness in government.”

The sheer arrogance of coming out with this in the midst of Shrillary’s EmailGate scandal is almost awe-inspiring. Obama et al. really couldn’t care less what we think at this point. Like Thomas Jefferson said,

“When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”

The latter is ever more the case under Obama.

Barack-Obama-Arrogant
The audacity of arrogance.

We all know why you’re hiding and so secretive. Not even in today’s world would people allow you to continue if they knew what you were really doing.

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”

By the way, I’m not afraid of you, you arrogant punk. What can you do? Take my goods? Kill my body? Sure. But you can’t touch my spirit, that’s in God’s hands.

Just remember, what you do to others, you have done to yourself.

I would not want to be you.

I must admit to a sick fascination: “What banana republic crap will they pull next?” Congress won’t stop them. The admin mostly ignores orders from the courts (which take too long to slow them down much, anyway). What are the limits?

The answer, of course, is that he will not stop unless he’s perp-walked out of the Oval office. And I don’t see that happening. I think the country has resolved itself to just hanging on for a wild ride (those that pay attention, anyway).

I read an article within the last week about a foia request put to this same office pertaining to the cost of , and who was paying for multiple gowns worn by Michelle. I would bet that had something to do with it.
