Why Obama Has a Lock on the Youth Vote

Considering what Obama has been doing to their future by running up generations worth of debt with frivolous spending, you would think younger Americans would withhold their support this time around. But don’t get your hopes up. These kids aren’t far short of voting age:

The reason some of them knew the capital of Washington State is that’s where the interviews were done.

This is why using teachers unions to prevent kids from learning is so crucial to Democrats. Only an abysmally ignorant populace can be duped by the media into voting for socialists.

On tips from Nobody and Festivus. Hat tip: The Blaze.

Since the year 2000, federal funding of education alone has increased by a staggering 155 percent, yet our testing results have not improved. Should we throw more money at the problem, or begin by firing poor performing teachers who are protected by the unions for doing nothing more than paying their dues and providing shitty service to the American taxpayer?

Oh… and the correct answer is 58 states. BO said so.

Heh. Heh Heh Heh. Hey Beavis, those kids are dumber than we are. Heh. Heh heh.

Olympia student video was made for ‘laughs’

I guess the school is stinging a bit over the feedback they’ve gotten. One local radio host vowed to confront school officials over it.

I buy this “just goofin'” explanation to some extent. Some of the answers are just too absurd to be real (bin Laden is VP?). It also seems unlikely that any of the students wouldn’t know that they were standing two miles away from the unmistakable capitol building and the surrounding state government campus.

However, some of the responses seem genuine and a careful reading of the video producer’s statement leaves that possibility open. Probably a little of both going on here (goofin’ and stupidity).

Better stick to questions about Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks and evil corporations.

  6. TrickleUpPolitics says:

Kids won’t show up to vote. They’ll be texting. No worries, mate.

  7. Bloodless Coup says:

Obama would never have been elected President in the fisrt place if young people weren’t painfully stupid and shallow.

  8. R.J. says:

50 states? 51? 52? Don’t these kids know any better? It’s 57 states. After all Barry Hussein said so. So it must be true!

    /sarc off

  9. Mary says:

Most kids today shut their brains off once they leave the classroom. It doesn’t mean they don’t know they just have to answer the questions via text or twitter.

  10. AC says:

Not a problem, ACORN can always fill in ballots for voters with absentee brains or absentee pulses.

  11. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

I say we give the gal at least half credit for “Bin Ladin” as VP

This is due to emphasis on liberal indoctrination rather than teaching American history. The victim mentality takes precidence over practical knowledge.
Bet those students can recite how women and minorities are opressed in great detail.

Wow! Look at all the future menial laborers for the eeeeeevil corporations to take advantage of!

Good job, Democrats! By promoting stupidity in schools you’re causing the very problem you’re decrying.

  18. Son of Taz says:

Oh, come on. The questions are meaningless. It’s far more important that students learn things like how to put on a condom, how to perform homosexual acts, and learn that Christians are racists and haters.

Hey union teachers – are you proud of this? The video is your employment review.

    FAIL!

  19. Bastiat Fan says:

This is enough to make you weep for the future, isn’t it?

  20. AC says:

I can remember when practical education in the schools was a thing of pride.

Does anyone else remember when a kid who didn’t excel at math was given the chance to apply himself in shop, connect with a business as an apprentice, come out with high marks, and go on to learn a skilled trade?

Now, career educrats prepare our children for the future by ensuring there isn’t a thing they don’t know about bisexual Hispanic poetry.

I too weep for the future. Many of these kids will end up on welfare when the jobs they could have had are sent to India and China.

  21. LarryG says:

Why are these dolts even going to school? Liberalism’s low-hanging fruit. A calamity of titanic proportions.

  22. A. Levy says:

AC, i too remember. But, thanks to the communist-controlled teachers unions, schools long ago stopped being places to learn, and instead became indoctrination camps designed to turn out, not educated future productive citizens, but useful idiots.

Now here’s a scary question. Where were the parents of these kids while their minds were being destroyed?

  23. Jodie says:

I bet they all know what “fisting” means.

Funny you should mention that, because at least 3 of my high school classmates (out of only 130) have gone on to become self-made millionaires: 2 attended college (Harvard and USC), but the third went to trade school and now owns a commercial Heating & A/C contracting business that (still) employs over 300 people. And those are only the ones I know of, who were personal friends of mine (and teammates on the varsity baseball team…), so there may be more.
