Woodward Isn’t Alone

Bob Woodward isn’t the only liberal to receive threats from an increasingly hysterical White House recently. Some are even going public.

Democrat hack Lanny Davis, best known for defending Bill Clinton’s inexcusable behavior night after night during the Lewinsky debacle, evidently needs to be kept in line:

A day after Woodward’s claim that a senior White House official had told him he would “regret” writing a column criticizing President Obama’s stance on the sequester, Lanny Davis, a longtime close advisor to President Bill Clinton, told WMAL’s Mornings on the Mall Thursday he had received similar threats for newspaper columns he had written about Obama in the Washington Times.

Davis told WMAL that his editor, John Solomon, “received a phone call from a senior Obama White House official who didn’t like some of my columns, even though I’m a supporter of Obama. I couldn’t imagine why this call was made.” Davis says the Obama aide told Solomon, “that if he continued to run my columns, he would lose, or his reporters would lose their White House credentials.”

Reports another lib, Ron Fournier of National Journal, who even now is loyal enough to proclaim the absurdity that “there is no reason to doubt Obama’s integrity — period”:

I tweeted: “Obama White House: Woodward is ‘willfully wrong.’ Huh-what did Nixon White House have to say about Woodward?” …

This evoked an ugly response from a “senior White House official” who had been serving him as an anonymous source.

The official angered by my Woodward tweet sent me an indignant e-mail. “What’s next, a Nazi analogy?” the official wrote, chastising me for spreading “bull**** like that” I was not offended by the note, mild in comparison to past exchanges with this official. But it was the last straw in a relationship that had deteriorated.

As editor-in-chief of National Journal, I received several e-mails and telephone calls from this White House official filled with vulgarity, abusive language, and virtually the same phrase that Woodward called a veiled threat. “You will regret staking out that claim,” The Washington Post reporter was told.

Once I moved back to daily reporting this year, the badgering intensified.

Fournier was forced to ice this valuable source by vowing to out him if there is any more harassment. One reason he did this was that

I didn’t want to condone behavior that might intimidate less-experienced reporters, a reaction I personally witnessed in journalists covering the Obama administration.

If Obama hadn’t been installed in office and kept there by this same media in order to advance its leftist agenda, journalists would be on him like a swarm of killer bees.

That screeching you hear from the White House could be the sound of wheels coming off.

The difference is that with Nixon, the American people heard all about it…day after day after day after day.

With Obama, he’s got so many of his imps under his control, that he (at least so far) can get away with ANY vile deed and the story will be killed, buried, spun or simply ignored.

I’d love to believe that these libs would see that Obama is not their friend, not a liberal, and will destroy them as fast as anyone else that stands between him and absolute power. I’m afraid they (for the most part) will refuse to believe it until it’s too late.

    Useful idiots :

In political jargon, useful idiot is a pejorative term for people perceived as propagandists for a cause whose goals they do not understand, and who are used cynically by the leaders of the cause.

The term has been used to refer to Soviet sympathizers in Western countries. The implication was that, although the people in question naïvely thought of themselves as an ally of the Soviet Union, they were actually held in contempt and were being cynically used. The use of the term in political discourse has since been extended to other propagandists, especially those who are seen to unwittingly support a malignant cause which they naïvely believe to be a force for good.

  4. TaterSalad says:

A third person has now just come forward also saying they were threatened by the White House:

    #1. Bob Woodward
    #2. Lanny Davis
    #3. Ron Fournier

More to come forward in the coming days? You bet!

They’re almost as sensitive as moslems:

Faizan Syed, the executive director of CAIR St. Louis, has been an outspoken critic of any attempt to curtail the advancement of Sharia and has long used internet and social media to advance his message. He now asserts, on his twitter feed, that the Islam and the Muslim movement should take a page from the Pentagon playbook to use social media to drive their message. And that message should be, according to Syed, to monitor the internet, and use it to prosecute anyone who posts anti Islamic/Muslim content there.

“Report anti Islamic and anti Muslim content on the internet to appropriate authorities to take action to remove it and go after those who post it online and prosecute and take actions according to the Shariah ruling.”

Amazing that savages lie this have managed to make it into the United States. They’r presently overrunning Europe.

And I still think Obama is one of them. The same vitriol, the same rage, the same thin-skinnedness, the same lack of humor.

    It’s all there.

He also threatened Hannity but that was before he got elected his first time.

Hey, media: Your Chickensssssssssssss!! Have come home to roosssssssssssst!!!!

Welcome to the New America YOU have helped create.

At least we’ll know when the muzzies start trolling in the boards. Expect all caps rants about infidels or obvious lies they can’t defend.

  9. Ummah Gummah says:

With the way the media’s been compliant lapdogs of the Regime it’s a real miracle that the following has gotten out:

Democrats complain about presence of debt clock on Capitol Hill [VIDEO]

Jihad Hakim keith from Minnesota is involved once again as well as certified brain surgeon Maxine Waters.

  10. KHarn says:

The only thing these “poor liberals” can do is make the threats public, DARING the obama gang to carry them out. The only way to “proove the accusations wrong” will be for the obama gang to NOT CARRY THEM OUT.

  11. Ummah Gummah says:

True, the one good thing is that the moFoes can’t stay unemotional and calm when you write the truth about them and their false “prophet”.

Amazing how many black people will support them as well. They have no clue about the real history of the slave trace, quite apparently.

They seem to think if it’s bad for whitey, it’s good for us. They know not whereof they speak spouting things like “bigot” and “racist” any chance they get.

What a bunch of useless FOOLS.

Useless for America. UseFUL for islam.

  12. Skyfall says:

I think too much of the press is committed to The Evil One no matter what. They’ll turn on the few that dare to break ranks, destroy them and show the futility of resistance to Obama.

    Or not.

It’s JUST SLIGHTLY possible that even the left can see Obama isn’t one of their own. It could be they now see Obama’s consolidation of power and realize he no longer needs them. He’s got enough of his own, demonic imps in the media that whatever “old school” libs that remain no longer count.

Useful idiots, indeed. Now the question is, if they (the lib media) are capable of undoing Obama’s iron grip, even assuming they want to. That is a BIG if, both in terms of their willingness and their ability.

My take is “It’s up to God”. If Obama is meant to usher in the end times, then no power on earth can stop him. If the time isn’t yet, then we have a shot at it.

It will be interesting either way. These are historic times.

  13. Lentenlands says:

The hallmark of satan’s forces is disunity.

  14. Skyfall says:

…and I want to make a distinction: there is the “old school” lib media like the ones that took down Nixon and ran cover for Clinton. Then there is the “demonic imp media” (and I mean that literally and seriously) which have come into play with the rise of Obama. They aren’t liberal or even “progressive”, as with their master. They are there to serve Obama and do his bidding, whatever it may be. It’s beyond politics, beyond party, beyond conservative or liberal.

    It is pure evil.

  15. Henry says:

I love it when progs eat their own.

No proggy trolls dropping by to shriek about “this imaginary story”? No sandy vag hysteria about “sensationalism and sloppy journalism”? I kinda figured we hear about all how this isn’t based in reality.

    Fuck yourself, TrollFail.

  16. Politico released the purported e-mail to Woodward. Seems to be less threatening then thought:

  17. Eric says:

OOOoo. One liberal reporter gets treated like Fox News, and tossed out of the pig pen at feeding time. Big deal. There are hundreds of lap dogs in reserve chomping at the bit to get in Obamas pants.

  18. Mr Evilwrench says:

Oh come on, Hat, I thought you guys were all about nuance, you know, subtlety? The operative word there is “regret”. When do libs ever regret anything they’ve said?

Now regret could mean, oh, “we won’t let your guys in the presscons anymore”, or “you’ll never work in this town again”, or maybe “the IRS is going to be giving you a financial colonoscopy every year for the rest of your life” all the way up to “you’ll die cold and alone in a cell in an undisclosed location in Canada”. See how that works?

  19. Xavier says:

Messrs. Woodward, Fournier, and Davis have a long enough track record with White House communications to understand the tone and message implied, and they’ve stated it. Just because a libtard troll disagrees doesn’t change the facts.

  20. Jay B. says:

It’s nothing new. Just like in the old soviet regime, there will be a time when even the adinistration will have such a lot opinion of the press they will never bother with conferences and just tell them what to write and bark them orders. Ink jesters, I think.

  21. Momster says:

    @ Mr Evilwrench:

Or your body found in park across from the White House, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot to the head–gun nowhere near your body. Your office rifled and purged.

  22. Momster says:

@ Jay B. “Ink jesters” LOVE it. I am going to lift that right now and use it liberally (oops-blush–I mean a lot).
