Yoga as Thoughtcrime

Yoga is just yoga, unless you are white. Then it is cultural appropriation:

To truly honor yoga, writes Michigan State University professor Shreena Gandhi, white Americans should understand its history, acknowledge the cultural appropriation they engage in, and possibly reduce the cost of yoga classes for poor people, a group that often includes people of color and “recent immigrants, such as Indian women to whom this practice rightfully belongs.”

BTW, those with Indian ancestry are the wealthiest ethnic group in the USA. They bring in 70% more than whites per household. But I’m forgetting; statistics are racist. The narrative requires viewing Indians as put-upon victims deserving of special consideration.

Gandhi coauthored a piece entitled “Yoga and the Roots of Cultural Appropriation” with Lillie Wolff. Wolff describes herself as an “antiracist white Jewish organizer, facilitator and healer” who is “passionate about decolonizing and politicizing yoga.” “Decolonizing” means purging it of unclean whiteness.

The moonbats will grudgingly permit even cis-gender, able-bodied, heterosexual white people to engage in yoga, so long as they hate themselves for the “unearned power and privilege of whiteness” while doing it, and obsequiously acknowledge that they are committing cultural appropriation.

While we are combatting the menace of cultural appropriation, why not demand that nonwhites wallow in self-debasing thoughts whenever they make use of the English language, electricity, automobiles, air travel, central heating, indoor plumbing, air conditioning, modern medicine, television, the Internet, universities, et cetera?

I’m sure the gurus in Himachal Pradesh will be very amused to hear about these psychos “politicizing” yoga. They’re deep in meditation and trying not to crack a smile.

  2. Mr. Freemarket says:

I’ll stop using yoga. In exchange, Indians will stop using electricity, the internet, the internal combustion engine, computers, and the internet.

    Racist! 😉

Oh, come on. Everyone knows that Muslims invented everything. //s//

  5. Saxon Warrior says:

Yoga is a scam anyway. It’s a Satanic meditation practice that enables demonic possession if carried to its extremes. Christians should stay away from it. Look up ‘kundulini’ to see what I mean.
If they think that yoga is being culturally appropriated what they really mean is that White people can’t just dabble in the stretching exercises and a bit of deep-breathing; instead we have to really study Yoga in depth, shake off our Whiteness (ie our Judeo-Christian heritage), think Hindu, talk Hindu, walk the Hindu walk, and adopt Hindu meditation practices.
They want us to either avoid yoga altogether or do it right – in other words adopt the false-god worship that all true yogis practice!

  6. Mr. Freemarket says:

Yes they did. And if we were talking Pakistan, I’d agree. However, since we are talking India, I’m also willing to sacrifice any food with curry, transcendental meditation, and putting a red dot on my forehead.

  7. MAS says:

Very similar to asceticism in many ways but with a heaping helping of pantheistic philosophy tossed in.

  8. MAS says:

I gave up vegetarianism after a brief try in the early 70s. Does that count?

  9. Andrew Pearce says:

I seem to recall hearing long ago that yoga was developed to keep courtesans and prostitutes lithe and limber.

As for reducing the cost to people of preferred pigmentation, WTF. Go to the library and get a book. Go online and search up how to do it. Have one person in the hood learn how and get good at it, then spread the knowledge for free within the “community”. You don’t need me to spend my money for your benefit.

    Holy cow!

  11. George Lortz says:

When are the moonbats going to learn that others are not ‘appropriating a culture’, rather that ‘imitation is the sincerest form of flattery’.

  12. JeffersonSpinningInGrave says:

Never. The issue is never the issue. Nothing Western Civilization does will ever be good or right until it abandons the core principles that individuals have unalienable rights and that government should be limited in scope.

Basketball – invented by a white guy.

    Just saying.

Who knew that Indians could be so racists and hateful

Same here, so I hope it counts.

Felt weird, like my brain was shutting down. Never tried it again.

  17. ICEvictim says:

cultural appropriation, just another means to Bosniaize the country into tribes and set them against each other to destroy “America” and bring about the Marxist Utopia.

In the 50’s we called it homogenization. Your people bring something cool to America and we adopt it. Pizza, QED.

  18. Mr. Freemarket says:

Indeed it does. I gave up eating cows when I found out that the Indians held them sacred. Now that I know I cannot and should not appropriate their culture, I will now resume eating cows. (OK, I actually gave up eating cows for about 3 minutes, but it’s the thought that counts!)

The most successful countries take the best ideas from their trading partners, acquaintances, and enemies and adapt those ideas for their own societies. I suggest that we ignore the fools that object or better yet, laugh them off the stage.

  20. Jodie says:

No problem. I will stick to prayer, and meditating on God’s word. Those are the healthiest things in the world to do.

Anybody else tired of seeing culturally appropriating blacks in virtually every single commercial on TV?

  23. Jim Beam says:

So EVERY religion in the world is Satanic except Christianity?

  24. Nick Testa says:

I saw this on Tucker, I thought it was hilarious… Now Buddhists are getting in on the “cultural appropriation” shtick…

The best part is the only faggots that do yoga are lazy delusional progressive soccer moms and soy boys….

I now wonder if these degenerates will stop participating in the progressive pastime of yoga.

  25. Saxon Warrior says:

Yes… that’s the whole point. There can only be one truth……especially if different religions give different versions.
But if there is only one truth, then which one is it?
You investigate and you decide for yourself.

Some people claim that all religions lead to the truth, or they claim that all religions have a bit of the truth here and there and collectively they give the full picture.
But I say there is but ONE truth and Satan has tried to deceive us by providing counterfeit after counterfeit in the form of all the different religions in the world.
by the way, kundulini is a concept in yoga that claims that there is serpent inside all of us that can be unlocked by meditation, and this serpent can give us wisdom that can make us all god-like and enable us to evolve spiritually.
This is exactly the same lie that the serpent told to Eve in the garden of Eden. ‘Ye shall become as gods’.

I do believe that if these folks drive a car, keep their food in a refrigerator, watch a television, etc, they should apologize to white Americans for THEIR appropriations. See how that works, you fruitcakes?

  27. magic1114 says:

Lol, especially the black couple that have to buy a new stove because the wife is too stupid to turn the dinnerware the same direction so they’ll both fit instead of doing the balancing act (one on top of the other)… It’s a damn good thing that breathing is autonomous…
