Andrew Cuomo’s Threatening Diatribe Against Trump

Enraged by pressure from Trump on local politicians to restore law and order in “anarchist jurisdictions” like New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo jumped the shark:

“He better have an army if he thinks he’s gonna walk down the street in New York. New Yorkers don’t want to have anything to do with him,” the Democrat said…

Cuomo has already declared that people who are pro-life, who support the constitutional right of self-defense, or who don’t embrace the LGBT agenda are not welcome in his state. Now we see that not even the President is welcome — despite being a New Yorker.

“He can’t have enough bodyguards to walk through New York City, people don’t want to have anything to do with him.”

Three ways to interpret Cuomo’s remarks are: (1) he is threatening the President with violence, which is a violation of federal law; (2) he is encouraging maniacs to attempt an assassination; or (3) he admits that local authorities are so incapable of maintaining order in New York, they can’t even guarantee the President’s safety, though foreign countries around the world manage to do it.

None of these interpretations are flattering to Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo demonstrated how Democrats will bring the country together by denouncing the President as “a clown” and “a tabloid cartoon” whose sister is disgraced by him. Yet we are expected to hate Trump for being nasty and divisive.

The governor also claimed Trump’s “negligence” is the reason New York state suffered the highest COVID-19 death toll. The governor’s critics blame his Health Department’s mandate that forbade nursing homes from turning away COVID-19-positive patients, potentially leading to at least 6,500 deaths.

What Cuomo lacks in competence, he makes up for through projection.
