Progressive culture is an oxymoron. Leftists are totalitarians, and therefore incapable of producing culture in any meaningful sense. All they can do is ransack cultures created by their superiors for material to twist into grotesque parodies that comply with their narrative.

This is why practically everything out of Hollywood is a lifeless but politically impeccable remake of something from the days before the entertainment industry succumbed to moonbattery. The latest example is a feminist remake of The Honeymooners.

[CBS] is developing The Honeymooners, a reimagining of the 1950s sitcom created by and starring Jackie Gleason. The multi-camera project with a feminist twist hails from Damon Wayans Jr. and Kameron Tarlow’s Two Shakes Entertainment and CBS Studios where the company has been based.

Written by Lindsey Shockley (Mixed-ish) and to be directed by Kelly Park (Country Comfort), The Honeymooners is described as a bold, female-driven reboot of the iconic working-class comedy centered around new wife Ruth and her husband Alex who are determined to have a marriage where they are true equals in every way.

It does not appear that the new Ralph Kramden will be transsexual — unless they are planning that as a surprise.

Fortunately, it is still possible to get original entertainment, as opposed to the lame derivatives Tinseltown has been excreting for decades now. TCM is an oasis in a wasteland. As a rule of thumb, if a show is in black & white, it is probably worth watching; if in color, probably not.
