Joe Biden, Jennifer Rubin Deal Poorly With Trump’s Quick Recovery

Looks like Trump is coming back fast from COVID-19. Liberals are not dealing with this well, after getting their hopes up that he would die or at least suffer long-term diminished capacity. The narrative that Trump has become “a symbol of his own failures” as Jake Tapper triumphantly honked has been turned on its head by the virus seeming to roll off him like water off a duck. The reactions of Joe Biden and left-wing propagandist Jennifer Rubin were especially appalling.

Regarding Biden,

Trump is responsible for contracting the coronavirus, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said late Monday night, adding it was “embarrassing for the nation” that he fell ill.

Relief that our Commander in Chief seems to be okay, much less admiration for his rapid recovery, would be too much respect to expect from Biden.

“I will be very honest with you,” Biden said. “It was embarrassing for the nation.”

Whatever Biden prefaces with “I will be very honest with you” is sure to be a whopper even by his Beltway swamp standards. What was Trump supposed to do, hide in his basement? Go around wearing a hazmat suit? He’s the leader of the free world.

Boris Johnson, Prince Charles, President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil, Prince Albert II of Monaco, Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti of Kosovo, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia, President Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin of Russia, President Juan Orlando Hernández of Honduras, Interim President Jeanine Áñez of Bolivia, President Alejandro Giammattei of Guatemala, and President Pierre Nkurunziza of Burundi have all contracted the virus, as well as former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.

Are they embarrassments to their countries too? Forget I asked regarding Prince Charles.

Speaking of embarrassments, here is Jennifer Rubin’s reaction to Trump leaving Walter Reed:

“Any MD who publicly endorses this insanity needs to lose his/her license. Period,” Rubin declared in one of several tweets, [in] another writing, “Congress might want to defund Walter Reed. It is a public health hazard.”

The iconic Walter Reed Army Medical Center, which provides care to American heroes wounded in combat, is not the only target of Rubin’s wrath:

“After election there’s going to need to be a thorough review and [American Medical Association] will need to consider discipline if appropriate.”

What the AMA has to do with this was left unexplained. She does not seem to understand that it is only an advocacy group; it is not in charge of Walter Reed or the doctors who work there.

Many things lay beyond Jennifer Rubin’s understanding, but at least she now grasps that she is not a conservative:

Last month, Rubin dropped the word “conservative” from her Twitter biography. She had been mocked for years over continuing to keep such a descriptor on social media even advocating for Democrats during Trump’s term of office.

“Let’s be honest: There is no conservative movement or party today,” Rubin said. “There is a Republican Party thoroughly infused with racism and intellectually corrupted by right-wing nationalism.”

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Jennifer.

How long before her WaPo employers realize there is no reason to keep her around if she isn’t going to participate in the charade that she represents conservatives? The “even this conservative agrees with us” angle is less effective when the faux conservative confesses to abject moonbattery.

Liberals should cheer up. Even if COVID-19 bounced off him, maybe Trump will come down with some other horrible disease.

On tips from Bluto, Henry B, and Mr. Freemarket.
