Bad news for diabetics and everyone else who relies on a steady supply of crucial medication. The Marxists in charge have turned their attention to drug prices:
Congress could soon send to the president’s desk a bill that would cap the cost of the life-saving drug insulin at $35 per month — a move that could significantly reduce and rein in out-of-pocket drug costs for millions of Americans with diabetes.
Considering the skyrocketing inflation Democrat rule has produced, that means insulin will soon be practically free — assuming it is available.
The House approved the bill Thursday by a vote of 232-193, with 12 Republicans joining all Democrats in support.
Biden’s signature is guaranteed; the price cap was part of his stalled Build Back Better power grab. They just have to get it through the Senate. Susan Collins is lending her support, not that Democrats need it.
Add together price caps, rampant inflation, and supply chain issues and even Democrats can do the math. It adds up to not enough insulin.
About 11% of the US population has diabetes, a number that will rise with the growing obesity problem. Over 7 million Americans require insulin.
No worries; when the insulin is cheap but nonexistent, Democrats can just demagogue about the failings of the private sector, as they have been doing on energy.
