The damage Biden is inflicting on his way out the door is not limited to saddling Trump (and us) with higher energy costs. Nor is his unjust clemency limited to garden variety child killers, mass murders, and scumbags. Biden’s Pentagon just released al Qaeda terrorists who want us dead.

The Pentagon announced Monday that it has released 11 Yemeni detainees with suspected ties to al Qaeda from the Guantanamo Bay military prison in Cuba.

Call it another parting gift to the American people.

It’s unclear if the Biden administration plans to transfer more detainees out of Guantanamo Bay before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.

My guess is yes. Incidentally, Biden secured a plea deal for 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed so that he could escape the death penalty after murdering 2,657 Americans.

Among those Biden released is Moath Hamza Ahmed al-Alwi, said to have been Osama bin Laden’s bodyguard. As VP under Obama, Biden infamously opposed killing bin Laden.

An unclassified 2016 US intelligence file on al-Alwi warns that as a GITMO detainee, he “has made several statements since early 2016 that suggest he maintains an extremist mindset.”

Al-Alwi has also “committed a number of disciplinary infractions” at Guantanamo Bay. These will pale in comparison to the infractions he might commit if he resumes his career in Islamic terrorism.

Captured terrorists need to be killed. Otherwise, Democrats will set them free.
