As they say, correlation is not causation. Maybe liberalism causes mental illness. Maybe mental illness causes liberalism. Maybe each causes the other, creating a vicious cycle. Or maybe “liberalism” and “mental illness” are different terms for the same phenomenon.
What we know for sure is that the correlation is strong:
51% of Conservatives have excellent mental health.
20% of Liberals have excellent mental health.
45% of Liberals have POOR mental health.
19% of Conservatives have poor mental health.
