Joe Manchin Explains How West Virginia Became Deep Red

“I didn’t leave the Democratic party,” said Ronaldus Maximus. “The Democratic Party left me.” Former Democratic Senator Joe Manchin applies this observation to his own state of West Virginia, explaining so that even Jon Stewart might understand why Trump repeatedly won there in landslides:

“[West Virginians] believe that the Democrat Party in Washington basically spends more resources, effort, and time on able bodied people that don’t work, or won’t work, than they do those who do.”

The working class in no longer part of the Democrat coalition, which now consists of strategically aggrieved identity groups, foreign invaders, sociopaths, and feral wine moms.
