Accused Drug Trafficker Gets Over $30,000 for Unused Vacation Days From State of Massachusetts

It costs taxpayers a pretty penny to let arrogant and morally vacuous Democrats achieve dominance. Minnesota is an obvious example. Massachusetts is another.

The New York Post reports:

A former Massachusetts gubernatorial aide accused of sending eight kilos of cocaine to a state office building was paid more than $30,000 for his unused vacation days, Gov. Maura Healey admitted Tuesday.

The former top aide is LaMar Cook.

Cook, 45, had a cushy base pay of roughly $99,000 — and was rewarded with an extra $31,438.56 in “buy back,” or unused vacation pay, after his abrupt arrest in late October, according to payroll records seen by the Boston Globe.

The Healey Administration yelps that it was a mistake. The real mistake was trusting liberal Democrats with other people’s money.

On the positive side, Cook may have helped Healy to achieve her DEI quotas.
