British Pol: Arrest People Who Laugh at Offensive Jokes

Certainly, we cannot allow anyone to tell a joke that someone thinks is offensive, because that would cause people to feel unsafe and possibly even marginalized. Canceling everyone who tells an offensive joke is like playing whack-a-mole. There is always someone else who needs canceling. Even the most anodyne jellyfish who would never dream of standing up to the woke mob might be revealed to have said something offensive in the past, or to have quoted someone else who said something offensive.

Speaking of offensive, check out the joke self-styled edgy comedian Jimmy Carr cracked:

“When people talk about the Holocaust, they talk about the tragedy and horror of 6 million Jewish lives being lost to the Nazi war machine. But they never mention the thousands of Gypsies that were killed by the Nazis. No one ever wants to talk about that, because no one ever wants to talk about the positives.”

Come to Rome as a tourist if you don’t get the joke. The Gypsies will rob you blind in broad daylight, even if you see them coming and attempt evasive action, as I have learned from experience. Of course, no one is calling for killing Gypsies. It’s a joke.

Maybe we could stop people from telling jokes like Carr’s by stopping others from laughing at them. We could arrest those who laugh at offensive jokes. Scottish National Party Councilor Julie McKenzie introduces a new tactic for protecting the allegedly vulnerable from the violence of speech:

Feign outrage, milk it for power and control. For situations where that approach doesn’t apply, leftists have another: Fabricate or wildly exaggerate a crisis, milk it for power and control.

On a tip from KirklesWorth.
