Clothes Dryers Denounced as Offensive to Environment

According to our moonbat rulers, modern conveniences are offensive to the environment. Therefore, they must be denied to the masses. This includes not only air travel and automobiles, but even washing machines and dryers too:

Tumble dryers are as bad as washing machines for spewing out plastic, scientists are warning. According to a recent study, dryers release microfibers into the air at comparable levels to those that go down the drain during the same load. …

“By measuring microfibers released during the whole laundering process we found microfibre loss through domestic drying is a huge concern,” says lead author Dr. Kelly Sheridan, of Northumbria University in England, per South West News Service.

Killing off eagles on an industrial scale is no biggie, so long as it is done on behalf of economically inefficient wind power. But this is a problem:

Wildlife ingest these microfibers as they float in the air, settle on the land and get washed into rivers.

Microfibers are all around us, all the time, even if we don’t know it, just like white privilege.

Washing laundry sheds up to a million tons of microfibers annually worldwide, posing potential risks to aquatic ecosystems.

Maybe our rulers will still let us wash our clothes in the bathtub, so long as we recycle the water afterward. Using hot water so that the clothes actually get clean is out though, as the moonbats running Tide remind us.

The research provides convincing reasons to hang-dry clothes and use energy-intensive dryers sparingly — if ever.

We’ve all seen old pictures of cramped urban housing with laundry lines strung across the air shafts separating overcrowded tenements. If liberal social engineers prevail, that is not only our past but our future, since single-family homes are also offensive to the environment.
