How Teachers Can Get Fired

Given the poisonous leftist lies many of them have been instilling in impressionable children, their deteriorating job performance, and the mighty power of their Democrat-aligned unions, it may seem that teachers are unfireable. However, even now a teacher can place her job in peril, as Candice Reed demonstrated at John W. North High School in Riverside, California with her idiosyncratic means of teaching math.

She was outed and denounced as a thought criminal by a student who shared video on Instagram:

The point was to help her students remember “soh-cah-toa,” which is regarded as a “mnemonic for remembering the definitions of the trigonometric functions sine, cosine, and tangent.”

You can make a fool of yourself in the version of America we live in now, as Joe Biden frequently demonstrates. But you can’t make a politically incorrect fool of yourself. Riverside Unified School District educrats are predictably coming down on her hard:

“These behaviors are completely unacceptable and an offensive depiction of the vast and expansive Native American cultures and practices. Her actions do not represent the values of our district. The teacher has been placed on leave while the District conducts an investigation.

“The Riverside Unified School District values diversity, equity and inclusion, and does not condone behavior against these values.”

A sense of humor would go a long way toward bridging racial divisions. That’s the last thing the liberal establishment wants. The first thing it wants is victims who can be sacrificed to the gods of critical race theory. This teacher went out of her way to volunteer for the role. Odds of her keeping her job are slim.
