For the second consecutive year, The Roost Lounge in Cathedral City will host two Easter fundraising events to benefit the nonprofit Voices for Children.

Voices for Children advocates for children in foster care.

The brunch will begin March 31 at 10 a.m. and will be moderated by Palm Springs’ social ambassador Bella da Ball.

It will feature a bonnet contest, a basket auction and a live show with performances by drag artists Cee Cee Russell, Kunda Couture, Marina Mac and Sassy Ross.

The idea is to celebrate Christ’s resurrection with drag performances.

The Roost Lounge’s Roost Foundation supports a number of charitable organizations in the Coachella Valley. Per its website, “these philanthropic efforts transform the bar into a hub for positive change, proving that inclusivity and compassion can extend far beyond the dance floor.”

“Positive change” in the context of “inclusivity” is Liberalese for the promotion of homosexual behavior — a mortal sin that is proscribed in the sternest terms throughout the Bible. As for drag queens, refer to Deuteronomy 22:5.
