Right Not to Work Because You Have a Dog

Progressives still have progress to make. It is not yet mandated by Big Government that employers must pay people to stay home and take care of their pets or to grieve after the pets die.

From Airstrip One:

UK law states workers can take a ‘reasonable amount of time off to deal with an emergency’, such as caring for an ill child or mourning a death in the family.

But dog owners are now demanding those same rights to look after their four-legged friends, which 67 per cent claim to view as their ‘children’.

Per liberal ideology, it is “speciesist” to acknowledge a moral difference between a dog and a child. An unborn child counts for far less than a dog.

Some also believe they have a right to “pet-ernity” leave if their dog has puppies, and to show up late for work after bringing their dog to doggie daycare.

Utopia will be achieved when we have collected so many rights not to work that we are all paid to do nothing.

On a tip from Wiggins.
