Soros-Backed Prosecutor Pulled Away From Mark McCloskey’s Throat

Even in 2020, it’s possible to find good news. The Soros-financed apparatchik Kimberly Gardner has been pulled away from the throat of Mark McCloskey. She wanted to make an example of him for defying a rioting Black Lives Matter mob by standing with his wife on their own property holding firearms to prevent their home from being burned down for social justice.

A St. Louis judge [Thomas Clark] has disqualified Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner and her office from prosecuting Mark McCloskey’s case, saying campaign fundraising emails she sent before and after issuing charges against the couple “raise the appearance of impropriety and jeopardize the defendant’s right to a fair trial.”

“Appearance of impropriety” is putting it mildly. Gardner was trying to do to the legal system what Obama did to the IRS — namely, pervert it into a weapon to destroy perceived enemies of leftism.

Bad enough to break people’s legs for exercising their constitutional right to bear arms. Gardner even tried to exploit her vindictive tyranny to raise money from her fellow moonbats. She must be so greedy that not even George Soros can keep her satisfied.

This undoubtedly expensive nightmare isn’t over yet for the McCloskeys.

Should Clark’s ruling stand, a special prosecutor will be appointed to handle the case. In St. Louis, the presiding judge picks the special prosecutor.

The ruling does not apply to Patricia McCloskey.

The prosecution of the McCloskeys is patently absurd. That it has not been thrown out on Second Amendment grounds as Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt requested is a testament to the power and radicalization of the leftists infesting the legal system.
