Law School Prof Sentenced to Reeducation

During the Chinese Cultural Revolution, thuggish students exploited leftist ideology to lord it over and humiliate their teachers. The American Cultural Revolution is no different. University of Illinois-Chicago law school professor Jason Kilborn included the following question on an exam:

Employer’s lawyer traveled to meet the manager, who stated that she quit her job after she attended a meeting in which other managers expressed their anger at Plaintiff, calling her a “n_____” and “b_____” (profane expressions for African Americans and women) and vowed to get rid of her. Later, Plaintiff’s lawyer served an interrogatory demanding the identity and location of any person with information related to the termination of Plaintiff’s employment or any agent of Employer. Can Employer identify the former manager but properly withhold her location, as this is the product of a significant amount of work and expense by Employer’s attorney?

Note that the blasphemous n-word is not merely quoted, but replaced with “n_____.” Yet even this was enough to bring Professor Kilborn to the attention of the black supremacists who demand absolute control over everyone else’s speech.

From the James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal:

Shortly after the exam was given, a student in the school’s Black Law Student Association (BLSA) complained about the question. Subsequently, the BLSA issued a statement griping about “the inexcusable usage of ‘n_____’ and ‘b_____’ on a Civil Procedure II Exam.”

Educrats obediently came down hard on Kilborn. The law school administration…

…announced that it would investigate Professor Kilborn’s behavior. In doing that, it managed to provoke first an abject apology from him (quoted here), where he said that he regretted his question and that he had “learned something valuable” from the controversy. He begged the BLSA to call off its “unwarranted and unconstructive attack.”

Rule #1 of surviving the Age of Wokeness: NEVER apologize to leftist crybullies. Apologies are to social justice warriors like chum to sharks.

With the vicious vindictiveness leftists traditionally display toward those who have exposed their throats by apologizing, the BLSA demanded that Kilborn be fired.

Consequently, he was suspended. UIC educrats…

…declared that Kilborn would not be allowed to continue teaching unless he first submitted to a course on “inclusion.” This would mean an 8-week course replete with “self reflection” papers and weekly 90 minute sessions with a “trainer.”

That is, he must submit to reeducation, like in North Korea. No matter that the ham-fisted brainwashing is unlikely to stick; the real point is to humiliate Kilborn so as to make an example of him.

That’s the kind of country we live in, so long as too few people stand up to moonbats.
