A Republic Not a Democracy
Maybe the main reason Republicans are pro-American and Democrats are anti-American is that the USA is a republic, not a democracy:
Can we keep our republic, as Benjamin Franklin wondered? Past generations have managed, despite threats from authoritarians like Woodrow Wilson and FDR. But as moonbattery rots away American culture, the job isn’t getting any easier.
