Zohran Mamdani gets heavy coverage for what he is doing to New York City, but the DSA communist with the most power nationally is New York Congresswoman and top-tier presidential candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Her stature is supported by an understanding of American government and history that surpasses ours. Who but her knew that the US Senate is founded on Jim Crow?

The US Senate first convened in 1789. Jim Crow did not exist until after Reconstruction, which ended nearly a century later in 1877. But facts are irrelevant to postmodern leftists, who believe there to be no knowable truth, only lust for power.

It makes sense for AOC to believe the Senate was founded on Jim Crow, because everything leftists don’t like is regarded as racist, and they want to abolish the Senate for serving its purpose of preventing the excessive centralization of power.

Incidentally, AOC is likely to take Chuck Schumer’s Senate seat if she doesn’t run for President — an office that DSA also wants to abolish.
