We now know Deep State leftists have been using USAID to give American taxpayer money to Islamic terrorists, including the Taliban. Confronted by these shocking revelations, Democrats attack the messenger, including with calls for violence. Then they use kooks in the courts to force us to keep giving the money.

In a late-night filing on Tuesday, lawyers with the Department of Justice asked U.S. District Judge Amir Ali to issue a stay of his order that requires the Trump administration to pay by Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. any outstanding debts to foreign aid groups for work completed prior to Feb. 13. The Trump administration initially tried to freeze the payments via an executive order before Judge Ali ordered the payments to resume two weeks ago.

At issue are nearly $2 billion in payments.

Amir Ali is from Canada. His parents were from Egypt. It appears he is not a fan of America’s base demographic. America First is not likely to resonate with Amir Ali.

DOJ lawyers argued that fulfilling the payments is not only technically impossible but would also prevent the Trump administration from ensuring the payments are “legitimate.”

Of course they aren’t legitimate. That’s why they have to be compelled by leftist judges like Ali and Loren AliKhan:

Judge Loren AliKhan from the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled in favor of a group of nonprofit organizations in finding that they are likely to succeed in their challenge to the pause on all federal grants, loans and other federal assistance programs. The judge found that the nonprofits proved that the “funding freeze would be economically catastrophic — and in some circumstances, fatal — to their members” and agreed to grant their request for a preliminary injunction while the case plays out.

The astonishing argument is that pernicious left-wing NGOs must be given our money on a coercive basis because they cannot survive without it.

Looks like the “NG” does not stand for “nongovernmental” after all.
