Leave no man behind — unless you are Commander in Chief Joe Biden. Then you can leave 9,000 Americans behind, at the mercy of vociferously hostile terrorist savages.

That’s right, 9,000:

As many as 9,000 American citizens were left in Afghanistan when the U.S. military withdrew from the country Aug. 31, according to a report released Thursday by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

That is three times as many who died on the terror attacks launched with the assistance of the Taliban on 9/11. It might be better to have an airliner flown into your office than be an American captured by the Taliban. Osama bin Laden was a small time punk compared to the Big Guy.

The report, signed by Foreign Relations ranking member Jim Risch of Idaho, reveals that State Department officials believed that between 10,000 and 15,000 Americans were in Afghanistan as late as Aug. 17. In the next two weeks, only 6,000 Americans were able to escape the country ahead of the Taliban takeover. In testimony in front of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, however, Blinken claimed that “approximately 100-150 remained in Afghanistan who still wished to depart.”

If only lying to Congress were a crime. The gerbil Blinken and Tony Fauci could be cellmates.

Given the massive federal intelligence apparatus that is probably aware you are reading this, it is hard to believe the government does not know exactly how many Americans Biden turned over to the Taliban. But we will never know the true number, just as we will never know the potentially horrific fates of those who never make it out.

Contributing [to] the failure was the Biden administration’s lack of preparation for the execution of the withdrawal. National security officials were still working to formulate a withdrawal plan a day before Kabul fell to the Taliban, despite the fact that Biden announced that American forces would withdraw from Afghanistan four months before the collapse of the U.S.-allied government.

Incompetence and treason can be indistinguishable in their effect.

Despite these logistical failures, as well as the death of 13 American service members in an ISIS-K terrorist attack, the Biden administration has claimed its withdrawal efforts a success.

If that was success, do you want to know what failure looks like? Then stand by while Biden starts a war with Russia in an attempt to buck up his poll numbers.
