Reverence for free speech was always a key component of American character. Then America — or at least the liberal establishment’s version of it — began its fundamental transformation. Already censorship is the norm in any area controlled by Big Tech. This goes beyond political views; scientific information is routinely censored if it fails to support political narratives favored by leftists. Many liberals have dropped even the pretense of supporting free speech.
