Your home is your castle. You have a right to defend it from invading criminals. This natural right exists everywhere, but is only honored where freedom endures — Texas, for example. But that will change if Democrats prevail:
Let me be clear.
The Castle Doctrine will not be reduced.
We won’t force Texas homeowners to retreat.
Especially with the crazy “defund police” ideas, homeowners need to protect themselves now more than ever.
We will protect 2nd Amendment rights. https://t.co/DgtxWE6y0S

Texas State Rep Terry Meza is of course a Democrat. Previously she worked as a teacher and a lawyer.
As with most Democrats, you can’t tell from her rhetoric whether she is cognitively disabled or insane. Here is how she justifies the bill that would deny Texans the right to defend their homes:
“Thieves only carry weapons for self-protection and to provide the householder an incentive to cooperate. They just want to get their loot and get away. When the resident tries to resist is when people get hurt. If only one side is armed fewer people will be killed.”
Meza tacitly admits that if Democrats have their way regarding defunding the police and infringing on the right to bear arms, only one side will be armed, and that will be the bad guys. But the important thing is that if law-abiding citizens are left at their mercy, fewer criminals will be killed. This is particularly important as Democrats push to expand voting for felons (even while they are still in prison).
Hold on, it gets worse:
“In most instances the thief needs the money more than the homeowner does,” Meza continued in a statement. “The homeowner’s insurance we reimburse his losses. On balance, the transfer of property is likely to lead to a more equitable distribution of wealth. If my bill can help make this transfer a peaceful one so much the better.”
She literally advocates burglary and home invasion in the name of Marxist ideology. Liberalism has reached its logical conclusion.
You might expect that Meza represents an inner-city district of the sort where the collapse of education and of society in general has allowed radical leftists to take power. Actually, she represents demographically transformed inner-ring suburbia — specifically, the area around Irving, northwest of Dallas.
If moonbattery continues to metastasize, bills like Meza’s will pass, even in Texas.
