Until 1 day before the SOTU address on Tuesday, masks were mandatory, because The Science. The looming midterms changed the science. Likewise, they changed the war on police:
“We should all agree: The answer is not to defund the police,” Biden said. “The answer is to fund the police with the resources and training they need to protect our communities.”
Matt Walsh was astonished:
Amazing. Every Democrat applauds funding the police after spending two years trying to defund them.

In terror that voters will wreak vengeance for the tsunami of violence Democrats caused by hamstringing police, we are now asked to view the pro-Black Lives Matter party as a champion of local law enforcement:
Democratic city leaders are scrambling to boost police budgets and hire more officers amid the deadliest crime wave in two decades. Local and national Democrats are distancing themselves from “defund” politics and policies, a reflection of how deeply unpopular the concept has become among most voters – and how effective a weapon it can be for Republican candidates.
Too late, Democrats. You own the current crime wave. Presenting 7 minutes straight of Democrats calling for the police to be defunded:
They still want to defund the police. They just don’t want voters to be aware of it so soon before elections.
In utopia, we won’t need local police, because laws will be enforced by a federal domestic army “just as strong, just as well-funded” as the $770–$800 billion/year Pentagon, as Barack Obama intoned. As an arm of the Deep State, this “civilian security force” will not be distracted from its objectives by local concerns.
